Nah mate, I hedged my bet on Betfair when Australia were dominating, and then after they got Ishant, but I did it so I'd win money on Australia, and break even on India. So broke even.
You've got this **** all worked out haven't you? Sneaky.

Long before that. Giving away so many singles until they were two or three hits away? Taking off Hilfenhaus for Hauritz when Hilfenhaus was in wicket-taking mood? Taking out second slip only for the next ball to go through second slip (and he's still new at the crease ffs!)
yeh he has got to learn to persist longer!

Mate there are a million stories in the naked city.

Dhoni's field placings were none too flash either. Every time Australia lose a tight game it's always Ponting's fault. Blame the ******** kid batting six.

He's been captain for ages now, and has seen time and time again that you can't feed the opp batsmen the strike, especially when defending such a small target. If he hasn't learnt already, he won't ever learn.

It's a shame Bollinger was injured at the end of the innings because he might of made the difference. It looks like he will miss the 2nd test as well, Peter George then?

North should **** off right now. Hauritz bowled a lot of wide dross as well in this match, he was cut and smashed through cover way to much. It looks like North is going to be saved by Hauritz as well 8-).

Smith in for the 2nd test and George to it looks like.

v v s even if he is not fit we should select him for next test... the thought that he might come to bat it at 11 would be terrible for Aussies

Agree with this. Way too full too often, gave a boundary ball almost once an over and just sapped away all the pressure.

Even before the game began today, Pasag and others said that giving batsman singles when they are with the tail is bad captaincy.

Yousuf showed it in the Sydney test this year.

Ponting did that when they were 8 down. Australia lost.

I think when you criticise something before it happens saying it will cause a loss. And there is a loss, you can criticise the captain.

lol when you analyze it on the whole it does look both deserved it equally I guess coming back from125-8 does cloud your judgement and make you the more sentimental favorite to a neutral.
Yeah, honestly, just when you fear for test match cricket.

Amazing.

Is it just me or does Australia seem to lose more than their fair share of close run Test matches?

Or is it that someone defeating Australia in a close run match simply happens to be more memorable?

(Not suggesting for a moment that Australia are set to give SAF a run for their money as top Test chokers).
