Yeah generally poor cricket will cost you matches. Outrageous, I know.Dhoni dropped catch of Watson on 37 and paine on 0,Sehwag dropped Watson on 0, India lost the Toss, we collapsed in first innings after Sachin wicket... These are my excuses if we lose this match
I will blame Steve Smith. If we lose the match, I know who I'm blaming...
The same people as always. The middle order. And the selectors by extension for sticking with the same failures again and again and again.
Yeah generally poor cricket will cost you matches. Outrageous, I know.
Not Hilfy?I will blame Steve Smith.
I've been sitting here trying to read since tea and I'm ready to pack it in now as well and sleep in tomorrowWhat a session. Won't be going in to uni tomorrow now
Reading into Smith's current FC bowling average is stupid. He has only played 16 FC matches, and that average has dropped considerably from something like 60 or worse. He clearly has good potential, as shown by his best bowling figures of 7/64.Of course.
Not as stupid as advocating dropping Hilfenhaus for Smith though. Whose idea was that? I don't think they entirely meant it/thought it through, whoever it was.Reading into Smith's current FC bowling average is stupid. Not sure if you genuinely don't know who it was; hilarious if you don't though. Not as stupid as advocating dropping Hilfenhaus for Smith though. Whose idea was that? I don't think they entirely meant it/thought it through, whoever it was.
I'm sure it wasn't me. I was advocating Smith for North. Not sure if you genuinely don't know who it was; hilarious if you don't though.
It was the bloke you quoted in post 3013 when you brought it up. I don't think he's going to agree with you.I'm sure it wasn't me. I was advocating Smith for North.
Don't know whose idea it was? As I said i never explicitly stated that. Maybe someone else did.Not as stupid as advocating dropping Hilfenhaus for Smith though. Whose idea was that? I don't think they entirely meant it/thought it through, whoever it was.
Serves the king of **** Watson right, AFAIC...Used to just think it was just Burgey that hated Gambhir, but seems to be most Aussie cricket fans on CW.
Obviously elbowing Watson is off limits
Yeah, just looked it up and saw it.It was the bloke you quoted in post 3013 when you brought it up. I don't think he's going to agree with you.
Hilf actually bowled fairly well in the first innings. His line was a little off but I had a feeling he would come throughDon't know whose idea it was? As I said i never explicitly stated that. Maybe someone else did.
As it turns out Hilfenahus has done well in the second innings, but in his first innings figures of 100/0 are hardly impressive. No-one knows how good or bad Smith could have performed in this test. All I know however, is he could easily have provided some extra (and potentially crucial) runs to bolster our frail middle order.
