Good to mitch back in the runs as well. Been fairly ****house with the willow recently. Really adds strength to our batting when he clicks

This counter attack puts Hussey's 17 off 76 in its proper perspective IMHO.
Was a bit different at the time but yeah I agree; was a really poor innings no matter which way you look at it.

Anyway it's just about time for Paine to get out in a really strange way; such as he is.

Paine is making it extremely difficult for Haddin to get his spot back. I read haddin was named in the nsw 2nd XI - does anyone know how he went?
I read that he was supposed to play 28-30 Sep, however that was the U23 futures league. From what I can figure, the NSW 2nd XI game starts Monday?

Crucial thing is he's gone on with it tho. I know it's an easy game from my sofa, but if you set yourself to not get out and then do it makes all the effort look bit pointless.
Agree, obviously, but worth pointing out nonetheless.

It is really quite stunning how ferociously hard Mitch hits the ball.

Brilliant batting. Smashed through point, the classic cow-corner hit and then dead-bats a single.

Huss came in when things were going smooth, Paine started in the last half hour against a hooping ball with Zaheer in full flow then had to start again this morning.Big difference imo.

Ohja is too predictable to be top class back him to pick up hauls on a turner.
Indeed. Lots of praise for him yesterday and while he bowled well and while he he was unlucky not to pick up Watson, I still don't really rate him. There's just not enough to him. He's exceptionally accurate but he doesn't get big turn, he doesn't have much variety, he doesn't drift the ball and he bowls with a very simplistic plan for a spinner.

Given what he is he's going to have to bowl incredibly well every time he plays to have any success. He's going to bowl really well for no return a lot, IMO.
