Pathan burst onto the scene, faded away. Now it's Ishant's turn. Sreesanth looks mediocre at best, Mithun and the rest are inexperienced and pretty ineffective. India's pace bowling line up looks horribly out of sorts. Probably the worst in the Test playing nations. (Yes even Bangladesh)

The Mohali pitch usually does not crack up too much,so this could be a big runfest of a game and a Bore one.

Strange for the Mohali pitch to not have some movement and Bounce too ,here. It usually has bounce and rip for spinners too.

The way the Aussies are playing Ojha ,specially Ponting, it will just take one to turn adequately to get him.

But none of the balls are turning at all.

Gotta be a lack of cricket, though. Sharma's played only 21 FC matches in almost 4 years outside of his Test career. Dunno how he's expected to be a decent Test player with so little cricket.

Chicken and egg isn't it? I mean it could be said he's only playing him that way because there's no turn.

He turned a couple sharply morning session. Induced an edge that Dhoni shelled, in fact.

Punter looking set for something sizeable here. Would still fancy my chances with Watto tho if I were bowling (and not poo). Toss a couple up then an arm ball.

Geez, Ponting coasting there....

EDIT: Ohh, Ponting. That is really, really poor cricket. Big ton nipped in the bud.

Thats a good point. At such a young age though he may have time if hes willing.

on another note: RUN OUT!!!!! Quite extra ordinary considering the fielding efforts so far

It could be said.

But he plays this way normally when the ball is turning too,and has been the reason for his downfall in India so far.

Expertly played by me, have to pat self on back.

In fairness to Bev he called it just before it happened, said the running was the least impressive part of the innings and didn't need to force pace unduly. Been impressed with him no end.
