I doubt even TNA would be interested in Matt Hardy for long if he does have an attitude problem and is out of shape, it could be a lot like Val Venis, where it is a few months and out. Of course, Matt is a bigger name, but if the attitude problems are true, which they aren't necessarily (just because they have been reported on) - I doubt he'll even last in TNA.

Reckon WWE should give Christian a match against Alberto Del Rio at Night of Champions. I think he's been left off the last two or three PPV's, which is an absolute disgrace. As for Matt Hardy, it doesn't look good and he could very well be TNA bound.
Christian Vs Del Rio will be a really good match to have on the PPV, the only problem that I personally have (not from an impartial booking perspective) is that it will end up inevitably with Christian tapping out, which is a shame as he is one of my favourites.

I've read the only reason they haven't released him thus far is to prevent a Hardy Boyz re-union but that they are getting past caring.

mb, Christian has only missed the last PPV, he was on MITB which was the one before.
That's right, completely forgot about that. He was left off Summerslam and I think the Fatal 4 Way PPV so he's been pretty on and off. I guess with MITB they probably thought it's a ladder match with a bunch of green guys we need someone like Christian there to be the experienced veteran.

I know, that's the dilemma they would have I guess. Christian's great but it would result in a situation where you would have to put Del Rio over. I guess they could have Christian pick up the win due to his veteran savvy but have Del Rio look really strong and brawl with him after the match but you're right it would be a great match but a tough match to book.

It must be said Michael Cole and Josh Matthews are the only reason to watch this season of NXT. Although AJ is unbelievably cute! The rest of the divas are really poor though.

The question is whether you want to elevate him quickly to feud with Taker (or someone) for the title, or whether you want to introduce him into the packed, but imo, very good mid card division on Smackdown. I think he could work well among the likes of MVP, Hardy, Christian, Cody Rhodes, Mcintyre, Swagger, Mysterio, etc but it is up to the bookers if they want him to challenge for the world title sooner or later. Imo, he will be a massive superstar regardless, just depends how they want to play it out.

I really do like Rio's finisher, it is one of the few MMA holds that I can actually do properly and really is an immediate tap out when it is applied - it'll be interesting if WWE play it out that way or have people holding on for ages against it, like they did with the ankle lock.

It took them a few months to get rid of Hall and Waltman, Matt should be just fine! :)

Kurt was a God. One of the best.

Anyway, I was doing some research for my essay today and listening to some music on my comp. Randomly guess who's theme song started playing?

Thought the blockbuster was a pretty cool finisher tbh. Always looked bad ass when you did it on one of the old N64 WCW games anyway.

Ok, so Night of Champions on Sunday, will get the ball rolling in terms of predictions.

Sheamus (c) vs. Wade Barrett vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Chris Jericho - Six-Pack Elimination Challenge for the WWE Championship. - always usually find the champion retains in these sorts of matches. Probably the same to happen here I expect. However, somehow hope Jericho pulls this one out of the bag has he has "guaranteed" he will walk out the winner.

Team LayCool (Layla or Michelle McCool) (Women's) vs. Melina (Divas) - Title Unification Lumberjill Match for the WWE Women's Championship and the WWE Divas Championship - Imagine Melina will have this one, in what will no doubt be a tiresome affair.

Kane (c) vs. The Undertaker - Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship - Am looking forward to this more than any of their previous matches, if booked well this could be really really great. Is actually hard to call, can't see Taker losing after Kane has totally dominated him week in week out for the last month or so, but really hope Kane gets the win. Would be something fresh and I'm a bit tired of the whole Taker returning after a few months out and beating the heel world champion thing that happens yearly.

The Miz (c) vs. Daniel Bryan - Singles match for the WWE United States Championship - Think this will be a good match, interesting to see how it goes, think Miz will get the win though, will probably drop the title soon though and go on to cash the MITB in shortly after.

The Big Show vs. CM Punk - Singles match
- Punk could do with the win here, and think he will get it. No point putting Big Show over here.

Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Kofi Kingston -Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. If Ziggler gets counted-out or disqualified, he will lose the title. -
Bit of a tricky one to call, but think Ziggler will retain in what ought to be a decent watch.

Before I make any predictions for Night of Champions, I have to say that Smackdown this week was solid and very entertaining. There was a great opening promo with Christian and Alberto Del Rio and a feud between these two would be very entertaining. A shame that they won't be facing off at Night of Champions, but I'd imagine their feud will grow and they might get a match at the next PPV.

The wrestling on Smackdown was very solid. The Hart Dynasty vs Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre was a solid match and Jack Swagger vs Kofi Kingston was amazing as well. Jack Swagger has been very impressive in his matches against Rey Mysterio and now Kofi Kingston, I wonder how he went from being a World Heavyweight Champion to going back into the midcard.

CM Punk vs Christian was a fantastic match too. There's definitely a future feud here as well and the two can pull off great matches together. As for Night of Champions, I'm looking forward to the show and it's shaping up to be one of the better PPV's this year.

Sheamus (c) vs. Wade Barrett vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Chris Jericho - Six-Pack Elimination Challenge for the WWE Championship: I would love to see Chris Jericho walk out as WWE Champion after this match but I'm still thinking that Sheamus wins and continues his good work with the WWE Championship.

Team LayCool (Layla or Michelle McCool) (Women's) vs. Melina (Divas) Title Unification Lumberjill Match for the WWE Women's Championship and the WWE Divas Championship: Melina should win this one here. I see Layla interfering and costing Michelle McCool the match.

Kane (c) vs. The Undertaker - Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship: I hope Kane wins, he's been great in this feud so far. Would be a nice change to have Kane finally beat The Undertaker and move onto another challenger.

The Miz (c) vs. Daniel Bryan - Singles match for the WWE United States Championship: This is the match I'm most looking forward to on the show. This feud has been money and has been building since the start of the year. The only way you can tell this story is for Daniel Bryan to win here. The Miz can move onto the WWE Championship picture and Daniel Bryan wins the United States Championship and proves The Miz and Michael Cole wrong, it's a winning situation. My pick here to win is Daniel Bryan.

The Big Show vs. CM Punk - Singles match: I think The Big Show will win here, but don't really care either way.

Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Kofi Kingston -Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. If Ziggler gets counted-out or disqualified, he will lose the title: Dolph Ziggler should retain and this should play off the Dolph Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero and Kaitlyn dynamic that they were starting on NXT.

Enjoy the show guys.

Aye, I really enjoyed Smackdown too, the videos they have put together for the Taker-Kane feud have been absolute quality, the sort of work normally reserved for Mania feuds.

Nice tease with Christian-Del Rio, with another PPV following just two weeks later it has been smart booking to have them do it this way.

Okay, my thoughts, gotta say I'm unsure about quite a lot with this one.

World Heavyweight Championship - Kane (c) V Undertaker
Expecting the gold belt to get top billing for the first time since February (when Taker was also involved). These two may not have put five-star classics on but tbf they've rarely put on stinkers together either. And the build has been the best for a Taker-Kane feud since the lead up to Mania 14, IMO. With HIAC the next PPV it makes sense in my mind that they will square off there...I think Kane retains here with Taker having to wait a little while for his revenge.

WWE title - Six Pack Challenge - Sheamus (c) V Chris Jericho V Wade Barrett V Randy Orton V Edge V John Cena
Haha, what a starstudded line-up. Would love to see either Jericho or Wade get the belt but I don't think they will. I don't think Orton is going to either, if they hadn't made it elimination then Edge's gimmick would make him a favourite in my mind but I think Sheamus has been doing a great job, given that they have to have a cell match in a couple of weeks then Sheamus-Orton makes the most sense there.

US Title - The Awesome Miz (c) V Daniel Bryan
Any keen viewer of NXT season 1 has been waiting for this since the very first episode. It's gonna be awesome, obviously. I think Bryan will win, although he's been getting the upper hand so often that it does make me wonder.

IC title - Dolph Ziggler V Kofi Kingston
Not sure. A lot of the IWC have moaned about this but if you're honest, they are yet to put a bad match on and deserve a PPV outing after Nexus crashed their Summerslam effort. I really could go either way here but with all the odds stacked against Dolph in terms of the stipulations then it makes sense for him to get the win.

Tag titles - Hart Dynasty (c) V Drew McIntyre/Dashing Cody Rhodes
Not officially announced yet as far as I know but will probably happen as obviously they have to have a tag title match. The Harts bore me, I don't think they are worthy of the name, Tyson Kidd's hair is stupid and mini-Bulldog's suplex is way inferior to his dad's. On the other hand, Drew gets better all the time and Cody's Dashing gimmick has been a tremendous success. Give them two the gold (or bronze as it may be) and run with it.

Unified Women's Title - Michelle McCool V Melina
Now I was going to say sledger was being harsh saying it will be tiresome, but now that it looks like it will be Michelle and not Layla then I'd have to agree as we've seen Michelle-Melina plenty of times. Layla and Melina are the best divas (along with Beth) so I'm still hoping we see a switch. Expecting shenanigans here, or maybe a Layla face turn, but I think Melina will win the belts and take them to Raw.

CM Punk V Big Show
It's funny to see a non-title match on this show but with the women's belts being unified, the tag belts already unified and the ECW belt gone then they didn't really have a choice. Not really sure what will happen here but I'm thinking maybe Punk wins which proves the SES is a detriment to him, thus he sacks them both from the society and goes it alone again.

Should be a good show tbh.

Regarding NoC...

Pretty good PPV. Bryan Vs Miz was an excellent match and I was very happy to see Bryan come out as the champion. CM Punk in his home town was good to see, though I would have wanted him to get the win, with the crowd behind him that much. Undertaker/Kane and the tag match were as expected - the tag match a bit too predictable due to the order of entry. Jericho's early exit suggests interesting things on Raw and I doubt the reports that he is gone from the company. The main event, itself, was an okay match (Cena with two botches though, one missing a spot to be hung up on the top rope and the other absolutely murdering a drop kick attempt) with Orton becoming seven time champion - gosh, I remember when Bret being the five time champion was a big deal.

GIMH

Norwood's on Fire
Bret's 5th title came four and a half years after his 1st, Orton has waited six years between 1st and 7th, not a lot of difference there really

Calling those 'botches' by Cena is overpicky

Good show though, Miz-Bryan and both world title matches were very good
