Well done Sussex.

Notts fighting back well to make a game of it,is there another ridiculous win on the cards like the Derbyshire game last week?:-O

Interesting at the top now - just seven points separating first and third ...

It would seem to be a huge choke if Notts didn't win it, considering where they were 10 days ago, but they've now lost five games which is hardly the stuff of champions.

In Division 2 Glamorgan look highly unlikely to win against Surrey, but they'll be pleased to see that third-placed Worcs are in trouble at Lord's. Huge kudos to Worcs for even threatening to achieve promotion though considering the disarray they were in at the start of the season.

Division One is excitingly poised with 6 of the 8 teams with something to play for on the last game of the season. Only Lancs and Durham are not fighting relegation or battling it out to win the league.

Notts v Lancs live on Sky next week, presumed they'd show this fixture, although the Yorkshire v Kent may have been more interesting.

Hope by this time tomorow that we will be safe, hope the weather is ok.

Would probably bat for a bit this morning but anything over 300 should be enough really, just got to take those 10 wickets.

Yes you're in a fairly strong position, not sure what the weather forecast is down there?
Kent do have a batting line-up that can be useful on its day, that day not arriving too frequently though with Key, Denly and Northeast having very ordinary seasons.

Do Hants have the bowling to get rid of Kent cheaply again ?

Wouldn't want Hants to go down - intend to do more than just the first day of the Lanky match next season

We have Corky. who else do you need?

Nah our bowling has been a problem this year with so many injuries but think we can do it.

Forecast for the south-east is OK today actually. But if Hants want to push for a win they'll want to be fielding within the first hour.

:-O Surrey 21-5 with Pietersen again out cheaply, we're gonna lose this if we don't get at least another hundred.

Over-cautious declaration from Hants I'd have thought, setting Kent 378 in something like 75 overs.

Kent have lost Key and Denly again, both going early. Van Jaarsveld has a massive role to play here, and I feel for Kent to get anywhere near to saving the game, he's going to have to bat out most of today.

Yeah probably batted a tad long but can understand why, we really cannot afford to lose this match a draw and Kent would probably have to beat Yorkshire next week if this finishes as a draw.

Still think we can knock them over though, just need to get Van Jaarsveld out quickly.

Middlesex 33-3 chasing 178, I bet the Glamorgan players across town are following that one with interest.

Surrey finally showing a bit of backbone, but by no means safe yet.

Career-best f-c figures from Shakib, and that after being comprehensively outbowled by Moeen Ali in the first innings.

Surrey look to be safe now, which will make it quite interesting in Div 2 come close of play.

The Brown Helmets have batted their way to a draw (barring a ludicrously unlikely Welsh assault on a target of about 300 in about 20 overs). Not sure how that affects Surrey or Glamorgan (would Glamorgan be unhappy about the refusal to set them a target?) but it means that Sussex are going up as Champions. :)

I can't see why Surrey would have been expected to set a target since there's nothing left in the season for us, and we were staring defeat in the face this morning when KP was out. If anything, this is one we let slip - we had the Welshmen 204-8 in reply to 380 after all.
