Buttler going berserk again. Half century up in 18 balls I think it was.

Edit: Oh and KP made 116.

Oh and a century for David Harrison. 8-0-100-0.
Just back from Taunton and can confirm that Harrison is not a happy bunny. Must be the most one sided game ever. After 15 overs Glamorgan were 170 behind the D/L par score.

AWSir Alex, wouldn't be at all surprised if Buttler gets an IPL Contract (and possibly a place in England's T20 side) in a couple of years. Clearly very talented, and judging by his effort against Notts on finals day, seems to be completely fearless as well. A fine prospect.

Yet more wickets for David Payne in this match, the guy's made a ridiculous start to his ODI career. Wonder whether it's poor batting helping him along, or if he really is as good as his first few games suggest. If the latter, I should imagine he'll be playing ODIs for England a few years along the line as well. Chuffed to see Gliucestershire producing promisng young players anyhow.

Finally well done to KP for a fine hundred today, could make the difference for Surrey. Hopefully he can kick on from this and do well in the 4-day games.

Yea and he batted through most of the innings without being dismissed by the left arm finger spinner.

Oh wait it was only Donkey Panesar. Never mind.
I must commend you for making that connection there, despite Monty having a pretty good season all round.

**** I love Buttler

What's up with Franklin? Batted and made a hundred but didn't bowl. I see a few catches were taken by "sub" surely he's not crocked again?

Also, Cook with an unbeaten century, whereas Strauss can't buy a score.

116 off 105 for Pietersen against Sussex. Good to see Kevin finally making some significant runs. A few more centuries and he should end up going to Australia with some restored confidence. Glad Surrey have given him the chance to find that confidence.
Used his feet well today which was good to see, against the quicker bowlers as well as Panesar. Good match too, ended in a tie, which was more disappointing for Sussex as they had a chance of making the knockout stage. Took forever to get there and back though.

Finished with 90 off 30something, which I gather wasn't the first time he's done this. Clearly a talented 19 year old.
I remember watching T20 Final days in a pub & saw him smoking a 50 odd in 20 something balls againts a very international quality looking Notts attack.

I feel a bit sorry for Trego. 147 off 89 balls hardly gets a mention
I think Trego's recent batting form COULD have made him qualifed for the ODI & T20 teams as an all-rounder over Wright at least. But is bowling is so crappy, it makes Collingwood look quality with the ball. So as a total package he is JUST short of international OD standard.

You couldn't make it up

Apparently the "friends of Chris Lewis" are concerned that the old lag is getting a bit depressed and the ECB should be visiting more often to keep his spirits up. Their logic is that his incarceration is the fault of the ECB cause by picking him for England they introduced him to the high life and he has had to smuggle drugs to fund the same lifestyle once his cricketing days were over.

Tough old world

Alex Hales coming over to play with Dandenong in Melbourne, same club that Darren Pattinson plays for. Heard a little about him, likes to have a dip?

Oh dear. The BBC have a live text update, and Sussex already have two Northants wickets. I don't think I'm going to be getting much work done over the next few days!

Notts lost a wicket early doors too

Sussex have a fourth wicket! :)

Notts three wickets down, 18-3. Jittery at the thought of winning the championship?

It's stopped raining here in central London so Surrey might get to carry on batting soon.

With Northants at 51-5 and Sussex already promoted now would seem to be an ideal time to let Matt Prior and young Brown turn their arms over
