*Official* English Domestic Season Thread 2010

Irritating lack of aggression from Durham after they smashed Notts about for most of the innings. Only scored about 50 off the last 22-23 overs. Draw very much on the cards now.

Haha, McKenzie takes a 2fer, Tahir hits 69*(72) and Mark Davies only bowls 15 overs in taking 2/10 with 11 maidens.
What's funniest?

Not Davies because he's injured. Along with Onions being out for another nine months now.

Because Durham weren't ****ed enough times this season with injuries. Bloody ridiculous.

Ah fair enough, thought it was weird that he just stopped bowling. Then thought it might be because they didn't want to overuse him as he hadn't been in the side much recently, so thought he may have been coming back from injury.

Rather sedate stuff at Chelmsford after yesterday's 650-run extravaganza. Middx seem to be heading for a sub-200 total despite having plenty of wickets in hand.

Jimmy Adams is a bloody legend, Lancs still favourite to get the win but he has given us an outside chance at a draw.

James Benning released by Leicestershire - no doubt he'll get a deal elsewhere but for now a career which promised so much seems to have stalled.

Cook and Finn playing in tonight's game btw (as well as Bopara, in the ODI squad) - Allott expressed surprise that Morgan apparently doesn't want some time in the middle after facing just 75 balls in the whole of August.

Nice catch by Malan to see off Cook.

Massive disappointment for Onions needing an operation on his back. Nine months in rehab, what a blow for him, Durham and England.

While I can't say he's one of my favourite players, nice to see Grant Flower hit a 50 and see Essex home in his final home game. Essex still in with a chance of a semi-final place.

150 for Adams, a heroic performance from him - but it won't be enough, surely.
Love this guy so much.

Just a shame none of the other batsmen could make a major contribution, If Ervine had stayed in for a while longer we would have a decent lead by now.

Should still stay up though, need to beat Kent next week though.

158 ahead now, and only about 42 overs left. Another half an hour and the game could be safe. 465 balls faced by Adams, a monumental effort. And Briggs seems a bit better than yer average number 11.

Or maybe not ... just three wickets to take.

You'd think they'll make quicker work of it than Lancashire's bowlers, who must be almost on the point of giving up. As a neutral, I want to see Adams get his 200, then get out (or Briggs) and leave Lancs to chase about 5.5/over.

Oh and I'm planning a rare trip to Hove tomorrow - not sure if there are any CW-ers in the area, but if you're going, let me know. :)
