Think its a bit daft really myself - you get a bloke like Silver Billy who was the greatest batsman of his time yet he has an average of around 20 - and you cant even know the bowlers averages as the full bowling figures were often not kept - and of course prior to overarm bowling being legalised in 1864 it genuinely was a different game.
