Which is a very good question. The piece I read said that the Broad incident 'could' have aggravated an existing injury. So (1) the initial injury was already there and (2) it wasn't even definite that Broad's action aggravated it.Did he actually cause that injury?
Can't have been a trivial thing if he's out for the rest of the season tbh...Which is a very good question. The piece I read said that the Broad incident 'could' have aggravated an existing injury. So (1) the initial injury was already there and (2) it wasn't even definite that Broad's action aggravated it.
Still a dumb thing to do though.
Well put Sir, and a good point. The last time he did it against Pak wasn't even a nick and when Strauss decided not to review it...Broad looked extremely foolish....Still haven't seen footage of Broad hurling the ball at the batsman, but sounds pretty unedifying.
What really gets my goat is his continued "wicket-taking" celebrations without turning to ask the umpire. God, it annoys me. You've been told, repeatedly, to stop, so stop. I don't have precisely zero patience with the "he's white / English / the son of a match referee" conspiracy theorists, but it's really time someone handed him a fine for that.
Not been involved in fisticuffs with team-mates either has he?Please post your Asif hate here people, in the interest of consistency.
Also, did you know, Stuart Broad has never failed a drugs test, not once, never, ever.
Tell me, who is the bigger disgrace to cricket?

You keep mentioning this. Yes he's a dick for doing it, but it doesn't affect anyone.Or brought illegal drugs into Dubai.
Nah, leave it a few weeks IMO.Prior should definitely come out at the end of the Test and declare that he's got a broken leg.
Absolutely, but the throw was about 3 feet away from the stumps where it hit Prior. Still, not really comparable to Broad's IMO.Different situation wasn't it? From the radio they made out Prior was down the wicket so shying at the stumps was fair game?
Do you think he'd have gotten off so lightly if he wasn't a famous cricketer? You keep mentioning this. Yes he's a dick for doing it, but it doesn't affect anyone.
His on field antics though are a disgrace, and his illegal performance enhancing drug taking.
But What about being Chris Broad's son?Meh, if taking drugs into another country harms nobody then neither does not appealing a wicket...
He’s still a **** for doing it and deserves the wrath of everyone, but he didn’t get off easy. He’s been banned for life from Dubai and won’t be able to participate in any matches that Pakistan play there. Considering that Pakistan are without a home for the foreseeable future, that is bound to be a long-term problem for both Asif and Pakistan. Also, the Middle East has the strictest drug laws in the world. In most countries, being that this was his first offense (does the “first offense” argument ring a bell for Broad supporters?), he would’ve gotten off much more lightly than what he got in Dubai.Do you think he'd have gotten off so lightly if he wasn't a famous cricketer?
The drugs were for himself. Hashish (the drug he was caught with) is a recreational drug, the closest comparison being marijuana. He wasn't harming anyone else.Meh, if taking drugs into another country harms nobody then neither does not appealing a wicket...
