Erm... are you sure bout this? To my knowledge, Dhoni and Karthik are fine, though Karthik had copped a blow to his finger, and Nehra might be fit enough for today's game. Apparently Ishant is also fit.

yeah.. Dhoni has been playing with a finger injury through the test series and there is no real need to aggravate it.. And KKD could have sat out this one alone and recovered fully.

Anyone else feel Sanga and Mahela's ODI records should be a lot better considering the quality of players they are? Sanga's is relatively OK considering he keeps wicket also.. but still he could do better IMO.

Sri Lankan batsmen have awful stats. Its a given. Aravinda should definitely have averaged much much higher than what he was, not only in ODI's, but in tests too. Mahela is simply not consistent enough despite being the best batsman in the team. Sanga is fairly consistent but not that much in the shorter formats i reckon.

It is good to see Ishant Sharma slowly regaining form. It wasn't long ago that he couldn't buy a wicket outside of the death overs and was bowling at a maximum of 130kph and now the speed is up and he is getting a few wickets too.

What's with Dinesh Kartik playing? Seems to have such a dire record for an Indian batsman. Must be dozens of players who'd do a better job. Is it purely to get him experience as a back-up for when Dhoni gets injured?
