*Official* India in Sri Lanka 2010 - Tests

SL is not going to declare this innings. No need in giving India a chance to draw this series.
India's bowlers (Sehwag:ph34r:) needs to get the 8 wickets and give their batsmen a chance.

I think a draw is only possible if SL bat India out of the match, say by batting for at least another 4 sessions.Otherwise even if they are set 320-330 to win on the last day Ind will go for it.
Dont think India will get bowled out within a day.

Sri lanka will bat for about an hour after tea tomorrow setting India a hard-ish total around 280-300. Sehwag will smash a quick 90 and get out early on day 5 and Sachin and will ton up on day 5 and win the game for us with Raina getting an unbeaten 50.

If they don't they'll get the required runs.If they don't get the required runs they'll prob be bowled out.I don't see Ind batting out the day for a draw.Would be pointless as 0-1 or 0-2 doesn't make a difference but 1-1 certainly does.

Yesterday was a big let down for me. From when I saw that Sehwag and Sachin were batting together and India was doing good at the end of the 2nd day I was really looking forward to the 3rd day's play.

Came back from work all excited and the first over Sachin gets out. Totally pissed. Then console myself with Sehwag is still there. Then he gets out to a nothing shot within overs. Total let down.

Think it will be tough for us on the last day chasing anything above 250. Samaraweera, Sangakkara and Jaya, need these guys to get out early.

Has anyone seen how ridiculously short India's odds are?

India 2.04
Sri Lanka 4.5
Draw 3.45

That is just stupid. No value on India at all.

I just laid India (i.e. betting that they don't win). So it's win win for me. Really want India to win this match, but if Sri lanka win or its a draw, I win some cash

Cruxdude is right, many of India's top order batsmen let SL off the hook when well-set, the tailenders evened things up somewhat, but we could have really driven home our advantage yesterday.

As it stands, I'm afraid SL's batsmen will prove very tough to dismiss today...

India's chance of victory is not 50% though. Yes they have a good chance. But the Betfair odds suggest roughly a 50% chance of an Indian victory.

It's wrong. India may win, but at this moment in time, those odds are very stupid.

Given the damage Indian spinners have caused so far, I think they will become even more threatening today. The bookies are banking upon that I guess. The pitch must have started taking turn a lot more. I don't know. I am just speculating.

The spinners are certainly starting to get the ball to grip and turn, but our tailenders showed that it is possible to overcome that with some discipline and application.

Just saw two balls from Mendis and Ojha which took huge turn yesterday. It turned square. It is going to be a result from my experience. I see Jono's point of 50% favorite being a bit off given that India bat last though. That's a top point. But I would back India's batting and bowling (spin) compared to that of Sri Lanka given that they are two wickets down. I think India is going to win.

tailenders playing forward defense annoy me.
I like to see close eyed swings, Afridi like:laugh:

Bring on Sehwag!
