Sorry. I'll say what I really think...Can you stop with the balanced arguments please? Not the way things are done around here (especially in these threads). kthxbi.
Indeed. Look at post #422 for example.. shocker..Can you stop with the balanced arguments please? Not the way things are done around here (especially in these threads). kthxbi.
Do as I say, not as I do. Know what else? Shut up, that's what.Indeed. Look at post #422 for example.. shocker..
And yet those two players haven't guided Pak to a test series win in the last four years?!!.. yep they must be "incredible"How many matches have BOTH of them played together recently?Just so you know, they are better than every batsman in the current WI line-up with the possible exception of Chanderpaul, and even then they're better.
Yeah sure!!.. and the sky is purple isn't it? if you really think Pak's team only need two players to transform the shambles we've seen over the past week then you're living in the clouds imo,lol if Pakistan's batting at full strength is >>>WI and bowling>>>>WI,then it's pretty logical to assume that Pak>>>WI (yes you could argue about fielding but I think with Pak they just need a damn 'keeper who can catch).
Pak's strongest side :
1.Salman
2.Azhar Ali
3.Younus
4.Yosaf
5.Umar Akmal
6.Fawad Alam
7.Any 'keeper who can catch
8.Gul
9.Amir
10.Asif
11.Kaneria/Ajmal
This side will beat any side that WI manage to string together, full stength or not,any conditions.
Excuse me since 2006 they've played 11 test series which is pretty much the same as WI, if they are so "great" why haven't they managed to win a series and we have? and furthermore it's not like they haven't played a test series at home in the last four years so don't make that excuses as it's feeble in the extreme.Again this is a ridiculous argument.Pakistan did not play a single test in 2008
So uness you are saying that they should have won matches they didn't play-and given your arguments earlier on this thread,I wouldn't be surprised if you are-there goes your argument.
What does that leave?A couple of tours in 2007-one of them was a 1-0 loss against India, can't remember the other(s).In 2009 they lost 2-0 in SL from a dominating postion in both matches. They drew in New Zealand and then lost 0-3 in Aus.They came back strongly to draw 1-1 w/o some of their best players against a strong Aussie side. When was the last time WI won a test against Aus?
And West Indies' win last year was at home wasn't it?Given Pak can't play home games that isn't a fair comparison. When was the last time WI beat someone away from home?
Why exclude Zim and Bang? oh yeah because it suits your argument right?!!EDIT - just checked. West Indies' last win before the early 09 home win against England was back in May 2004 against Bangladesh at home!!!!You have to go back a year more for a series in which they beat a non-minnow (SL in 2003),again at home.
In fact,WI last series win away from home excl.Zim/Bang was against NZ in 1995!!!!!!!!!!!
awtaJezroy.
Now all you need is a herd of haters crying over your post and you've "cracked it"!! .Sorry. I'll say what I really think...
NZ have to be the greatest test team in the world right now. Look at who we have got!!! Once B Mac starts to open for us and performs better than Sehwag, it will give us just the start we have been wanting. With the better starts, surely Ross Taylor will go on to break all sorts of records as it is only the fact we have been 3 down so early on that his kept his average under 50. Wait for that to change in the coming months. In Kane Williamson we have found (without a doubt) the greatest spinning all rounder ever. A lot of people are going on about his batting (and he is going to be one of the all time greats), but wait until his Laker like bowling comes into play!!! It's going to be the sight Kiwi fans have been waiting for. By the way, I also fully expect that this will completely reinvigorate Dan Vettori's bowling and he will actually be able to spin the ball again. Andy McKay is the new left armed Shane Bond - he will average about the same, and have a similar strike rate, but NEVER GET INJURED!!! Plus Ponting said that Southee is the future of our test bowling - and he has scored SO MANY RUNS HE MUST BE RIGHT!!!! Wait until he gets his perfect line and length sorted. Throw in Ryder returning from injury, a yet to be announced keeper/batsman who WILL be the next Gilchrist, the unproven Watling, McIntosh and Guptill who WILL PROVE THEMSELVES MARK MY WORDS,and our amazing stocks of seam bowling options and I think you'll agree, it's not me who's CRAZY!!! IT'S YOU!!!
Um... Pakistan beat Australia only just over a week ago. When did WI or NZ last do that? Yes the England game was a shambles... but they pretty much did what Bangladesh did when the clouds came in and Anderson started to swing it.Yeah sure!!.. and the sky is purple isn't it? if you really think Pak's team only need two players to transform the shambles we've seen over the past week then you're living in the clouds imo,
They won't.Now all you need is a herd of haters crying over your post and you've "cracked it"!! .
Scary thing is, if it's their day, Pakistan could beat England in this series and it wouldn't come as a huge surprise.TBH, after watching the ass whopping Pak got from Eng, i don't even care if we play associate teams..at least we have a bigger chance to win......
go for it...
Well yes they did win a test but they didn't win THE SERIES, which is my whole point, and lets be honest Aus aren't in the best shape right now and yet Aus blew them away in the first test, and i'm as big a fan of Aamer and Asif as anyone else but it's been proven in the first test against England that they can't do it all on their own, when they run out of steam the whole bowling unit seems to run out of ideas,Um... Pakistan beat Australia only just over a week ago. When did WI or NZ last do that? Yes the England game was a shambles... but they pretty much did what Bangladesh did when the clouds came in and Anderson started to swing it.
And in terms of two players making a difference - don't underestimate 2 different players in a team. The only reason I think Pakistan can compete so much better than NZ and WI despitetheir awful batting is one Aamer and one Asif. I also think that if you had two bowlers like that in the NZ side they would be winning a whole lot more tests than they do at the moment. The main reason we beat Pakistan last year was because of Bond and O'Brien - now they are gone. Or even if they had a Yousuf and Younis in the NZ team (not them in particular, just someone with that weight of numbers). 2 players can make a HUGE difference to a team.
So you're just expressing your OWN OPINIONS and not begging anyone to agree with you? GOOD FOR YOU!!.. but history suggests you'll still get hounded .They won't.
Because I'm right.
And nothing you say will make me think otherwise.
Nothing.
But our players said it was too cold to play!! .The English tour of the West Indies had some of the most atrocious disgraces of pitches ever seen. The West Indies were better for one Test.
But our players said it was too cold to play!! .
They did bowl well but Pak were 200-5 or something with the Akmal bros at the crease, only to implode in characteristic fashion. Some of the shots played by the Pak batsmen were just ridiculous.
Anyway,my point is that the scoreline reads 1-1 and that is what matters really.NZ were on top in the third test, but Pak's bowlers were equally capable of staging a remarkable comeback.
This. That's not luck, though. That's just waiting for Pakistan to be Pakistan. Considering it happens in every game they play at some point, it can't really be considered a chance happening.
As for Pakistan staging a major comeback in the Napier test, while nothing is impossible, I severely doubt it. By that point the Napier track had become so flat and lifeless, I doubt even Wasim and Waqar could've made much progress.
Sorry. I'll say what I really think...
