I see this one panning out pretty similarly to the first Pakistan-Australia Test.

As much as I love Swanneh, his tendency to hit a bright 20-odd and then get out when looking in form is starting to get rather frustrating.

Yet another England innocuous dismissal (TM)

Really don't like to kill games off England do they. That's partly what made the T20 World Cup so surprising.

Probably the best no 8 in the world at the moment, better than Johnson who looked promising but fell apart.

It was mentioned on Cricinfo that Kaneria is the 4th highest wicket taker in Test cricket (of active players), he was behind turbinator, Vettori and Kallis. A lot of the best batsmen around in the game are also over the hill and nearing retirement.

In this era looking at the other Test teams about England should really be the number #1 Test side, if not all-round cricket side in the not too distant future. The only real rival is South Africa. But they really need to be much more ruthless than they have been, particularly against tailenders and also in their selections to a degree.

It's all ripe for England to take over international cricket. If they put away Pakistan and then the minnows over Christmas and New Year then things are well on their way.
