*Official* Pakistan in England 2010

Bout time Broad showed some semblance of talent. He's been dire with the bat for a while now. Be handy if he could make a quickfire 40 or 50.

350 up. Shouldn't even get close to losing from here.

It was mentioned on Cricinfo that Kaneria is the 4th highest wicket taker in Test cricket (of active players), he was behind turbinator, Vettori and Kallis.
Yeah, it really struck me after Murali's retirement that the long-serving bowlers around today after the generation of Warne/McGrath/Kumble/Murali/Pollock are a mediocre bunch (relatively speaking of course).

Swann and Broad give this English batting some really useful depth.

But England need to start winning away matches to be considered a contender to No 1.
That's the thing though, none of the teams really wins away.

If England can go win in Australia then that'll give them the confidence. I'd give them a decent chance of winning anywhere outside the subcontinent at the moment. In Sri Lanka and India a lot simply depends on winning the toss and playing well on the 1/2 result pitches you'll get.

Should have punished that ball Broady, decent knock anyway.
Getting up to 400 would be a good demoralizing figure

Difference being Swann is actually a decent batsman...
Difference also that Gul made 50+ and Swann didn't, TBF.

In this era looking at the other Test teams about England should really be the number #1 Test side, if not all-round cricket side in the not too distant future. The only real rival is South Africa. But they really need to be much more ruthless than they have been, particularly against tailenders and also in their selections to a degree.

It's all ripe for England to take over international cricket. If they put away Pakistan and then the minnows over Christmas and New Year then things are well on their way.
Just lol.

Can't wait until the end of this series when it becomes official that we're better than you. Then you might realise that it's true. Scaly is onto something.

To be fair to Prior, while I'm not a fan of his by any means, he is very good at picking up runs with the tail. Reckon that this has actually (farcical run-out aside) been a better innings than his two test hundreds, in that he's taken England (with help from Swann and Broad) from a position of a small amount of doubt to a near-enough impregnable lead.

Nonetheless, this doesn't explain why Amin is continuing to bowl.

Seriously hoping you put substantial money down on England in the Ashes, tbh.

Mainly because I want you to be forced to move in with me

Just quoting for posterity. Hopefully I can requote this after 5 years.

I don't really bet tbf but I might have a flutter on our inevitable victory.

The only thing better than being better than Australia is the crims refusing to accept it :p

Why on earth is Prior taking a single at the start of each over and letting Finn defend 5 balls? We're 404 runs ahead. Get on with it FFS.
