Into my 4th season with Atletico Madrid. Won 3 Spanish titles, 2 Spanish cups, 3 Spanish Super Cups, currently hold the Champions League and have reached 1 other final, and just beaten Inter for the European Super Cup.

Transfer policy has been to make a marquee Spanish signing in each close season: between seasons 1 and 2 it was Cesc for £65m, between seasons 2 and 3 it was Fernando Torres for £35m, and in the close season just gone Gerard Pique arrived after I activated his £43m release clause. Aside from my marquee players, I've been active, but with a net spend of about £10m, and there's very few players left in the squad from when I originally arrived.

Squad:

1. Sergio Asenjo (at Atleti to start with, brilliant young keeper)
2. Gregory van der Wiel, £1.5m
3. Gerard Pique
4. Cesc
5. Danny Wilson, £10m
6. Leandro, brilliant 19 year old Brazilian regen currently on loan at Valencia
7. Santiago Cazorla, £17m
8. Ignacio Camacho, young DM who starts at Atleti who becomes a wonderkid.
9. Fernando Torres
10. Sergio Aguero
11. Angel Di Maria, £16m
12. David de Gea (back up keeper)
14. Mats Rits (15 year old Belgian wonderkid at start of game, signed for £1m)
15. Botha (young wonderkid striker from youth system)
16. Juan (regen wonderkid right back)
17. Thomas Ujfalusi
18. Antonio Lopez
19. Keko (wonderkid right winger)
20. Joao Moutinho, £17m
21. Martin Galvan (16 year old Mexican wonderkid, signed for £2.7m)
22. Edin Dzeko, £25m
23. Dodo (young Brazilian wonderkid left back, £1.1m)
24. Carlos Cuellar, £15m
25. Sergio Canales, £5.5m

Got plenty of options and cover, tend to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, occasionally lopsided with 2 trequartistas and 1 winger, or occasionally a Christmas tree formation when I want to bolster the midfield for tricky away games.

Team plays attractive football, after scoring 84 goals in each of the first 2 campaigns, smashed all records with 104 in season 3.

Despite my squad being insanely strong, first question I was asked in my pre season press conference was whether I agreed that my squad needed strengthening 8-)

I want to go to bed but I'm 19 wins in a row and 9 without conceding. Typical Arsenal eh :p
Just demolished Chelsea 2-0. They didn't have a single shot all game.
Dzeko back from injury. Scored 29 after 12 league games.34 points. 8 clear already.

Signed Francis Jeffers on a free for Brentwood now I'm in the Isthmian Premier. He took quite a wage cut from what he was after, which was interesting.

And how do the fans react? They get pissed off that he could be a disruptive influence?!? As if that would really happen. That would be seen as an absolute coup for a team like Brentwood. He will tear up in the Isthmian Premier. I reckon 40 goals minimum.
Its taking time, but Brentwood are now at the top of the Blue Square Premier division. Have won 29 league games in a row and just demolished East Thurrock 6 - 0. Picked up some Honduras left-winger on a free who's my star player and a couple of cheapy Argentinian youngsters who look promising for the future. Just knocked Morecombe out of the FA Cup to make the 3rd round proper. Drawn away at S****horpe. Should be tough.

Where the hell did you get all the money from?
Cesc, Torres and Pique have all been signed with the budget I've been given at the start of seasons 2, 3 and 4. The rest have been signed with money I've raised from selling players. Ignoring my 3 marquee signings, the rest of my side has been built with a net spend of about £10m.

Helps when the likes of Barcelona sign Florent Sinama-Pongolle for £12m.

Recently gone back to FM 08, and back to an old Real Madrid save I had going. Have built a pretty handy team as I enter the 4th season. The last transfer window was pretty crazy, and saw me bring in 22 players in all, the large majority of them being 15, 16, 17 and 18 year old youngsters, mainly from obscure unknown clubs for small transfer fees. They weren't all small signings though, as I also brought in Carlos Tevez, Raul Albiol, Micah Richards, Mahmadou Sahko, Nicolas Anelka (free) and Mancini (free).

My XI currently looks like:

------------------------------Casillas------------------------------------
---Richards---------Ramos----------Kompany--------Guardado----
-----------------Lucho Gonzalez--------Sneijder-----------------------
----Ronaldo----------------------------------------------Robben---------
--------------------Tevez--------------Aguero------------------------------

Then my back-up players include:
Raphael Laurent - regen Goalkeeper with ridiculous stats and potential to be better than Casillas
Mamadou Sahko
Pepe
Ruben De La Red
Javi Martinez
Gonzalo Higuain
Javier Saviola
Felipe
Miguel Torres
Gabriel Heinze
Jon Elosson - regen CB again with awesome stats and superb potential
Raul Albiol
Mahmadou Diarra
Nicolas Anelka
Mancini

Pretty handy squad that, and I've still got over £100m in the bank. Had a ridiculous transfer budget after selling Raul, Metzelder, Drenthe, Garcia, Naldo, Garay, Guti and Van Nistelrooy.

4th season, 4th La Liga title, 3rd Spanish Cup and 2nd CL title. Also took the Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup and World Club Cup for the perfect season.

Offloaded Cazorla back to Villareal for £17.25m in January and have let Moutinho go to Roma for £14.5m, have captured Gourcouff on a Bosman and over the course of the next year have a couple of extremely promising Brazilians coming when they turn 18, as well as 2 or 3 talents who look **** hot in my U19 side.

Boring season with me. Just drew with Liverpool 0-0 to maintain my 11 point lead at the top of the Premiership with 3 games in hand 8-)
Currently sitting on 68 points out of a possible 75.
Only low point was losing 2-0 to Everton to end my 46 game unbeaten, 21 wins and 11 cleansheet streaks.

Edit : Really pissed off I only selected England at the start of my game, want to go to Juve so bad.

What do people make of some of the changes for the next version of the game (like dealing with agents, more training options, improving 3D graphics, showing contrasting differences between playing at night, ie more dew on the pitch), and what areas do they need to improve on? I find them to be all cosmetic changes, but won't actually make me want to buy a copy or even get the game full stop as they don't really offer much more then what we already have. They need to sort out some of the regens as for some reason a lot of them in my experience, have good stats, but are really deficient in determination and concentration and enough to put me off from buying them.

I've heard that FIFA are going to use their game and then mix it with a FM type managerial game. If they can get that right, it could be a real winner and will force FM to raise their game or be left behind.

So in my Atleti game I decided not to shell out big bucks and instead concentrate on my under 19s, including signing an amazing Dutch centre half regen for £6m from Ajax.

Also decided that the Spanish Cup annoys me, so I've been playing my under 19s almost exclusively in it, lost the first leg of the last 16 2-1 at Osasuna, decided in the home leg to pioneer a 4-3-3 formation with no strikers, and managed not only to win 3-0, but also destroyed Racing Santander 6-0 on aggregate in the quarters.

I think this game is officially too easy, tempted to sell my entire first team in the summer in an attempt to make the game a challenge.

Oh, and Gourcouff lasted 6 months before I decided that it was the most pointless signing I'd ever made and was promptly sold to Man Utd for £33m.

Trying to offload Aguero but no-one will pay me the £50m I want. :(

Could just start a new game to be fair, lower league football obviously the place to be.
