How Are You Doing On CM?

Carling Cup, 5th in the league and FA Cup semis in my first season up. Have taken Quaresma and Adebayor on frees to provide experience.

Started playing it again recently and have got 6th (BSP) one season, 5th the next (hammered in the playoff semifinal, mind you) and am around the same point again this season. Getting frustrated, going up the ranks isn't nearly as easy as it was in the previous installments. Still, hopefully will manage it on 3rd attempt and cruise up through L2/L1 to the Championship...

Update on that - won the BSP that season, missed out on playoffs due to losing the final game of the season in League Two and then next season I got 3rd. In the first quarter of my first League One season now and sitting pretty around 7th at the moment (Bolton also in League One, guess they've had a bad time of it), doing better than I thought I would. Fingers crossed I manage back-to-back promotions and will be playing in the Championship next season.

How can I avoid it?

Just don't select any matches to watch. That's what I do. I'm now managing Slovakia, should be interesting. According to the game I can seak Italian, Dutch, German, English, Spanish, and French. I wish that was the case in real life though.

Started unemployed, took over the Doncaster job after being turned down for Sheff Wed and Preston (Sean O'Driscall taking that one, leaving donny open). Drew 1st game, followed by 5 losses, the 2 draws. Not the best start, though the two draws were good performances (2nd dropping the points with a 90th min pen). Held Liverpool 1-1 in the FAC 3rd Rnd, though lost 2-0 at Anfield, now on 4 straight wins in the league thanks to some nice loans in (got a link up with Man Utd that hopefully should bring Gibson in till April, cant take him long term as i've already got 4)

Only player i've paid for is Alex Smithies, managed to bag him for £600k, though 2 days later got Sebastien Viera on a free so nice fight for the keepers jersey. Seyfo Soley only other signing (free), though loans for Ritchie de Laet, Jordance Spence, Luca Temolada and somehow Victor Anichebe (though not played as he's injured)...... latter gonna have to smash through the Heffernan/Billy Sharp combo up front.

They finished in the Europa places in my last season. It's now 2018-2019. Chelsea, Aston Villa and Man City are my main challengers as Boston Utd. Arsenal also now a Europa side and Liverpool are midtablers. Wenger won Man City the league for the first time in my first season up. He promptly retired and Paul Ince hasn't managed to knock me down, winning two straight Prems. I had to use 48 month payments to bring in quality though but the new stadium is being upgraded to 42k as well as youth facilities plus just got my first two potential Prem quality players through my youth academy so looking forward to trying to bring through my own youth. Way too many 30+ players in my team but they served their purpose.
