Pretty funny stuff from Azeem Rafiq.

He captains the U19s in the First Test. Gets dropped for the second for "inappropriate conduct" then rips into the coach on Twitter...

You know, just in case the management were in any doubt about their decision.

I also liked Moxon's nicely understated 'disappointed' at Rafiq's actions. Hopefully he won't be so polite when he next speaks to the lad.

Thank god we finally got bloody Sutton out.

Fully expect Chanderpaul to remain unbeaten just hope we can get rest out for under 300.

Just got back from an up and down sort of day at the Rose Bowl - I thought no one went CC matches - there must have been the best part of 1,000 people there

:) That's a lie circulated by people with a vested interest in the abolition of county cricket. Shocking fixture list this season though it has to be said. Just one more CC match at the Oval (a Tuesday to Friday effort in September :( ) and even the Guildford game is Monday to Thursday. Still far too many blank Saturdays in the county game.

Going to Lord's on Saturday for day three with a Middlesex supporting friend, and given that the home side are already ahead, I don't see it ending well. We need Ramps to restore his 100+ average against his old club.

Was quite a few there when I went the other week as well, cannot wait for next year when we have a test for the first time.

Pretty happy with our efforts today really, even managed to get Chanderpaul out in the end?

Scoring was pretty slow, did it look a tricky pitch at all?

It was quite overcast at times but the wicket looked OK - our batting is a bit iffy of course but Chanders never looked in any real trouble nor did Croft

The best bit was Cork and Chapple giving each other the stare - then Cork bowled him neck and crop off a no ball that didn't seem to be called straight away - very next delivery Chapple edged very low to 1st slip and wouldn't walk straight away till the umpires conferred and triggered him - would love to be there tomorrow to see the roles reversed but sadly duty calls

Corky probably even more competative than usual against Lancashire I would imagine.

Been so good for us, would have been rather lost without him this season.

Hope we can the last two early tomorow and then build a decent reply, have generally scored a decent amount of runs at home this year.

Another win and relegation fears will be very much eased.

Was about to praise Michael Lumb and then he gets out for his standard county championship 40 odd.

Still did a decent job, the mighty Jimmy Adams needs to stay there though.

 at Surrey. Loss of four wickets in five overs, facing a deficit of 256, means that we're doomed to an almost certain innings defeat, probably before lunch tomorrow. Hard to understand after the way we dominated against Northants.

Ramprakash and Spriegel gone in the same over, so this should be over by, ooh, about 11.30 tomorrow - that's if Middx don't claim the extra half hour. Utterly pitiful. :@

There is a big car park but it was all a bit hairy around the ground with just 1,000 in - what it would be like for a sell out, especially getting away at the end, I dread to think. I'd be inclined to get there early and park a mile or so before the ground - there is off street parking about

Thanks for the advice.

I'm staying locally on Friday night, so should be able to get there early and park a little way away from the ground.

There is another car park that they open up for big games but yeah if possible would park elsewhere, may have to go a fair bit out though, they annoyingly put traffic cones around when it comes to certain games.

There is a hospital with a rehab centre right next door which always has an empty car park on weekends but that will almost certainly be cordoned off.

Well played Tom Smith, Lancs batting out the draw very easily in the end.

The bowlers have done a decent job of late with all the injuries but we think we should bring someone in.
