FFS. Rank half-volley duly dispatched.

Least it wasn't a no-ball.

Well played Pakistan and the seamers in particular. Fitting Gul hit the winning run(s).

i would like to dedicate this win to Ian Chappell who times after times.. marked out pakistan.. just remember.. we beat them in 20/20s and won the series 2-0 and leveled the test series 1-1.

Love the show of respect Rudi got from both teams things like that really set Test Cricket apart

Can't help feeling if England can manage 300 up then they will win the tests against Pakistan. Their batting seems to crumble everytime. Not that that is a sure thing the way Pakistan are bowling.

Congrats Pakistan BTW!

Lovely touch from Pakistan, that. Not always been a big fan of Rudi's decision making, but he's been a good servant to the sport.

Nice effort to give us hope, but well played pakistan.
It was a decent fightback but this tour has left more questions than answers for Australia for the future. The batting looks brittle and Johnson is so erratic can he be trusted and for all the hype Bollinger delivered precious little and rarely threatened in the series until it was too late in a lost cause.

Get on yer bike Akmal the fielder has told you he caught it.
Why??
What if Akmal had a faint edge to the keeper and claimed he didnt edge it?? Would we believe his claim and allow him to bat on?
I am sorry but the system has to go beyond the human degree of honest/dishonesty.
Human beings are complex creatures capable of both honest and dishonest acts when facing certain circumstances.. hence the system has to rely on empirical evidence not words of players. So if there is not enough evidence to suggest it was out..its not out.

Well deserved Pakistan

Bye bye Captain Ricky
To you honestly expect CA to sack Ponting though? If he loses his captaincy, ex-Australian captains don't usually hang around when they lose the captaincy, or quit, so you will lose him as a player.

As far as the batting goes, it's really nothing we weren't already aware of. Most people would have had their suspicions over Johnson in english conditions given his performance in the ashes last year, but your right in that most of us would really have expected more from he & Bollinger this series.

He should be sacked as captain but given that he survived 2005 and 2009, this'll probably be a walk in the park
