Well, Aamer got Ponting in the end!

About his first ball: I just watched the highlights, and my immedite reaction was: that might be too high. We all know it is mighty hard to be sure about the path of such balls.

And isn't it plaine and simple in cricket: If you cannot be sure, it's not out! And that ball, imho, most defenitely had some doubt about highth!

So, fine decision to me.

What is the fuss about North? From what I have seen, he is a terrible test batsmen. There is no reason to be getting out like that.

Cant say I've ever seen this fuss about him?

From what I read on here and other forums no one rates him at all. Commentators don't seem to talk him up much either.

North's gotta be done now. Doesn't make runs under pressure.

Seriously, don't bother with ****ing White or whoever. This side would look so much better if Watto moved down and we got a specialist opener.

I never fully understood why Hughes was axed after all of two mediocre tests in England given what he had achieved in SA.

Sorry, you're going to have to explain that one to me.
The theory is Watson was brought in to shore up the bowling to cover for Johnson. That meant a batsman had to go, and Hughes had performed the weakest (remember everyone else bar Hussey had scored a hundred by then)
