*Official* Australia vs Pakistan in England

Clarke's was pretty close. Would much rather those were given out. If it wasn't hitting the stumps then why didn't you just let it go, Michael? We can't make the rules up as we go along, though.

Neither decision was as bad as Hussey's in the first innings anyway. If Pakistan don't win from here anyway, it won't be because of the umpires.
Clarke was plumb in the first innings too....even if you take first match Katich was ouut plumb very early...he then went on to make 80-90 odd in a difficult pitch which made all the difference.Pakistan got a few calls in their favour as well...but lets face it...Fart getting 5 chances isn't the same as Ponting/Clarke getting 2.

Pitch has eased out and become flat. Will only get flatter presumably...Pak just need to get Clarke and Ricky out...Hussey is Gul's bunny, North averages 12 odd against Pak and then its the tail.
Yeah and with the cracks opening out... Kaneria will come into play.

Just been watching the highlights of the Pakistan innings. Have to say it was a pretty ordinary effort from the front line bowlers; DtR looked particularly clueless. Obviously his natural length is short of a good length, but surely he should've twigged banging it in wasn't the way to go when Watson was cutting a swathe by pitching it up to allow it to swing?

Great stuff from Watto tho; classic medium fast swing bowling. He looks so much better now he's reduced his speed by a few mph and bowls more of an off stump line. Very useful cricketer.

Agreed. It's also notable that he hasn't lost his ability to bowl a nasty bouncer. Makes a huge difference to a medium-fast bowler, imo. McGrath was the same when he lost a bit of pace. Kallis too.

Dougeh sadly not that bright tbh.

Reckon we'll win this by between 40-60 runs tbh.

I don't want to be Mr Carping Negative, but I think our attack looks a little exposed when Johnson doesn't fire. I think the other guys tend to feed off him.

Dougy was club-standard last night FWIW

In Pontings case, just clipping the bails is not plumb
He said while watching it live it looked plumb, without the benefit of hawk eye. I agree with Faisal, I can't believe that it wasn't given.

Ponting made 209 the last time he was let off by Pakistan when on 0..
