Fair sums up most of our bowling. This is hilarious watching 2 of the worst bats in the world smash the ball to all parts.

With the last wicket partnership they need around 350-380 at least which looks out of reach. If Australia manage 300-350 in their second go, we are in for a cracker. Not completely out of the question IMO.
Oh come on if these guys didn't even learn this much from playing Australia for so long then what did they learn??? Look at Kaneria and Asif now...they could have given him a stand...regardless he should have at least tried to do a Hussey here to put the game out of Australian reach....but oh well.....With only Kaneria and Asif to bat don't think time was on Malik's side, reckon he had to take some risks unfortunately the execution wasn't up to it.
Edit:Hilfenhaus to Mohammad Asif, OUT, 137.4 kph, chaos! Who knows what is going on out there, not the Pakistan batmen that's for sure! It was full and a slower ball, Asif found a leading edge the looped agonisingly towards mid off, it landed short but Kaneria set off for a single, Asif sent him back but the throw came in and caught him short of the crease. While the umpire called for the TV replay to confirm, Pakistan took a single, but in the end it didn't count. Got it? Me neither. Phew! Pakistan 258 all out - 170 ahead.
Have to agree, trying to bowl quick and back of a length on a slow pitch in England, when it is cloudy, smacks of facepalm.Run out nly way those guys were likely to get a "wicket"
FFS, havent they watched a ball that Asif, Aamer, Gul or Watson bowled?
Absolutely pathetic from the Oz front line bowlers
If. Aside from Katich and Clarke, and maybe Hussey... we really need Ponting to fire.Watto comeback by Australia! As Cricinfo said if Australia scores anything above 300, they'd be quite favorites to win this.
This. Even when Hilfenhaus was warming up for his bowling before he bowled he was looking at bowling it back of a length.Have to agree, trying to bowl quick and back of a length on a slow pitch in England, when it is cloudy, smacks of facepalm.
I assume that there was a delay this morning because I arrived at the pub to see highlights of yesterday's first session (which I didnt see)This. Even when Hilfenhaus was warming up for his bowling before he bowled he was looking at bowling it back of a length.
It's easier to loosen the body that way by slamming the ball in short.This. Even when Hilfenhaus was warming up for his bowling before he bowled he was looking at bowling it back of a length.
Yeah, agreed. Another one I've picked up for a bowlers warm up is looking to bowl the ball to someone who is about 50m away, good way to stretch the muscles out. It's easier to loosen the body that way by slamming the ball in short.
