Was at work, and very glad that I was.

Such a crap performance, when our overseas players have actually got on the pitch they have been fairly usless.

Looks like Danny Briggs was our best bowler again by miles.
I haven't really watched much of the Twenty20 Domestic this year, but this fellow Briggs appears to be getting good figures in the majority of the matches. What sort of bowler is he? (I mean in terms of his style and what have you, I know he's a left-arm spin bowler), and do you think he has potential to be a big success in the future.

In other news, Jesus Christ have Gloucestershire had a ropey tournament. Marooned at the bottom with only 1/3 of the games being won, oh dear.

What have the crowds been like at the T20 this year? I begun to quite enjoy it last year but cant get into it this season

They've been down 20-30% from what I can tell - there certainly seem to be plenty of empty seats at the televised games. For me it's a 100% decline - went to one match last year, none this. Not a twenty20 hater mind, will watch it on TV, just won't go to live games. Proper cricket resumes next week. :)

Notts making a dodgy start in overhauling Yorkshire's mediocre 112 - only one side can qualify though.

He is pretty tall and very accurate for someone of his age, certainly seems to have everything required to succeed in limited overs cricket.

Only seen him bowl once or twice in county cricket and it was on a first day pitch so hard to tell how much he can turn the ball.

Going well today again, looks like we are going to get away with that terrible performance on Sunday.

If Hampshire win, they are through - regardless of run-rates. If they don't then it's Surrey.

Simple as that.

Pleased to get through the group, had to rely on the younger players a lot and they have done pretty well.

Stupidly inconsistent and doubt we will in it, be nice to get to the finals though, being at home.

Sussex batted really well in their 40 overs today. Ed Joyce's innings was superb. His timing from the off was very impressive and he played some lovely shots. He and Wright put on a very good partnership too, with Wright accelerating his innings superbly before chucking his wicket away on 95.

Interesting to hear that Monty's been playing Club Cricket in the Sussex area also. He's been playing for Bexhill CC, batting 3 and bowling his full compliment of overs. Was surprised that he didn't mention his bowling for Bexhill in the interview with Nick Knight, and having found the scorecard I can see why. He bowled 16 overs in his last game, ending up with figures of 16-4-0-60. Somewhat made up for it with 51 off 62 with the bat batting 3, but even so, they're not remotely impressive figures for a bloke that wants to be on the plane to Australia. If he can't take wickets in Club Cricket, how's he going to do it in Australia?

Has to be said, that was a beauty from Panesar first ball. Flight, dip and turn getting between Cameron's bat and pad with ease. Could pick up a few if he keeps bowling 'em like that.

Didn't see Joyce's innings but it was a beauty from what I hear - maybe England should pick him again, just for the one match though.

Sad day for RMJ and his fans - would be nice to see him pick up a wicket or two. Worcs fading fast after a bright start.

And a good start for Monty. Still getting the 'ironic' cheers when he fields one on the boundary, it seems. 8-)

2nd for Monteh. Another absolute jaffer to the young Worcester keeper, and there wasn't a lot he could do about it, beautiful bowling from Panesar. He'll pick up hatfuls if he keeps bowling like this.
