Asif is class, though. Pitch it up and get it to swing and you've got to be good to keep it out.

Which North isn't.

Thanks God for Michael Holding...the best commentator in the world!! Makes the series all the more interesting...

I can listen to him all day..never fails to enlighten me about cricket

Whatever it takes!!!
So Kamran actually caught one..

Gotta say, Asif and Aamer would be a tough prospect on English wicket with some cloud around.. Amazing how good Pak's bowling, esp. fast bowling, almost always is....

Yeah, Clarke getting out of a dodgy decision was really dire for us.
Looked out in real time, IMHO.

Thoughts on what Pakistan need to dismiss Oz for to be competitive, anyone? Reckon Bolly & Hilf will carve up if the cloud cover stays as it is. Plus inexperienced line-up plus tail like a rat = not many more for my quid.

Was surprised his average is as high as it is, tbh. Nigh on 43 before today. Suppose he's quite a boom and bust kinda batsman tho. Often follows the blobs with tons.
Been that way for his entire career

Can play superbly well when in touch but doesnt seem to be the sort of player that can scratch out an ugly 50 and that's why so many were pushing for his omission before the NZ series

Yeah, not the smartest shot. Trying to whip it down the ground, no real footwork. 47 under the conditions is a highly commendable effort but given the way he was playing I reckon he'd be annoyed with anything less than 100.

250 I rekcon.

Yup, I would say 250 would mean Australia are comfortably ahead and 300 means there is no hope for Pakistan.

Only Oz bowler I'd put money on is Bollinger

Hilf is likely as not to break down and Johnson was largely horrific (including just about the worst day of bowling I've ever seen) in England last year

Very very few doubt that he can bowl, it's the other stuff that people dont like and rightly criticise him for
Sure thing, but when he is bowling at low pace and getting wacked you have doubts if he is good enough....i mean some doubts start rising in my mind too....strictly bowling wise...

Come on man stop being so low on confidence....
Shaky openers as always, a very inexperienced middle order, and a truly large tail. Combine that with the recent history against OZ and I don’t have many reasons to be optimistic.
