*Official* Bangladesh in England

Yeah, would like to see England bat first for a change. Bangers would be happier chasing you'd imagine. Loss of Tamim a huge blow, with their attack Bangladesh really need 300 minimum; I reckon that all but the most one-eyed England fans (that's you, BB ;) ) would like to have seen Tamim stay in for another 10 overs or so. High time Ashraful and Shakib showed what they're capable of.

England look a bit batting-heavy to me; hard to imagine Wright at 8 is going to have much to do.

Fairly average in the field, though, isn't he?
Very, on this morning evidence, could be an aberration, or a worry. Haven't seen enough of him yet. Don't really want another Panesar/Tufnell.

Broad still looking really good, always threatening the batsmen with pace and bounce, and seems to have cut out a lot of the buffet balls.

Guess people have short memories. James Anderson was probably our best ODi bowler last year. It was the first time since 03 when he first burst onto the scene that he was consistently taking wickets. He took 34 wickets at 23.61 at an economy of 4.97, they are very good figures. This year he's had a couple of poor games in a row, but his figures for the year still look more than decent. 12 wickets at 32 is reasonable, and certainly not bad enough to warrant getting dropped. Bresnan might be more economical, but he's opening the bowling, he should be taking wickets with the new ball, and he just isn't doing that. I expected him to look threatening with the new ball against these boys, but he didn't look like buying a wicket, and it wasn't until they were slogging at the end that he picked up a couple of wickets. His performances against Australia were god awful, and how he's kept his place until today is beyond me. Economy just isn't enough for an opening bowler.

Surprise, surprise, England bowling first again. A couple of changes to the side though, which is nice to see. Trott in for Tredwell and Shahzad replaces Bresnan. Looking forward to seeing how Shahzad goes. Hopefully he'll actually look threatening with the new ball.
Anderson has been absolute garbage this year and inconceivably atrocious in 2008. The odd decent year either side does not make up for it. When you're one of the few bowlers who can't bat you have to be better than a frequent liability with the ball. How many times has he come on with conditions perfect for him and he's just been serving up freebies and had to be taken off? It's not good enough.

Just hope they don't follow Nasser's advice and bring Bopara into the squad. Taylor or Davies should be brought in I reckon, if they bother bringing in a replacement that is, could just leave Bell out, move Trott to 3 and bring Bresnan or Tredwell back in.

Fine effort in the field from Wright, could have been 3 for Shahzad. He and Broad have been impressive in this game, have enjoyed Shahzad's bowling a lot. Looks so much more threatening than Bresnan.

It is good enough though. Broad aside, there's no-one who's fit who offers anything better.

Bresnan should replace Anderson, obviously it would be odd for the balance but Bresnan contributes more at present in limited overs cricket. Even though he's a bit toothless.

All these guys like Shahzad, Finn etc. who've come in recently have pretty much immediately shown up Anderson. There are probably other bowlers out there in county cricket who can do likewise.

In Tests I'd have Shahzad, Finn and Broad as the seamers in a heartbeat.

It has always been my opinion that the best time to take a batting power play is when all your recognised batsmen are back in the pavillion.

Another one for Shahzad. Should definitely keep his place in the side after this performance, has been excellent.
Should do, but ahead of Wright Or Anderson, for mine. Anyway they seem to be rotating, so not quite sure what they'll do, may rest Broad or Yardy,.

Bull**** selection again. Faisal Hossain who is the top run scorer in Bangladesh domestic cricket comes in at 8 in the last match and then gets dropped for Ashrafal in the next one. Complete bull****.
