The whole of Australia cheered for Hewitt when every 2nd match he'd rip into a linesman. The minute Serena does it the whole world cracks it. Same with Safin (my favourite player along with Goran and Rafa). Yells at linesman all the time, claims the surface is the reason he loses. But he's a hero. Double standards.
I don't like when Serena crosses the line and makes excuses or yells at linesman. But I like that Serena tells the world to **** off. She's ****ing good, and she doesn't care that she doesn't fit the mould that people want their women's players to play like.
Anyway, prefer seeing mental toughness in tennis players. Along with golf, its one of the sports won or lost in your head. You ain't got help out there.
Hate seeing 3/4 of the women's tour capitulate when the pressure is on.
In summary...

I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of people's hate for Serena, and love for Hewitt, Marat etc.
Yes I hate Hewitt (or used to, am more 'meh' about him now), but more-so for his attitude in previous years, and overt racist comment during his match with James Blake at the 2001 US Open.

What about the fact that you (rightfully) had a go at Federer for making excuses for his loss? Something that Serena is so very good at doing.

I'm still a huge Federer fan. It doesn't seem it on here because I play up my Rafa love on purpose, and probably because as a Rafa fan you're immediately seen as someone who doesn't like Federer, but it's seriously incorrect.

tbh, I've been on a one man cruisade to debunk the myth that Federer is modest for the past five years. I don't mind if a **** is arrogant and everyone knows it, but it annoys me when they are arrogant but people think they're not.

Serena is the female version of Hewitt. I admire the fighting spirit both players exhibit.
