Poor Rafter. Nicest bloke alive, but made the Wimbledon finals at the worst time.

2000 - Sampras was always going to break the grand slam record at Wimbledon.
2001 - It was destiny for Goran to win as a wildcard

Obamarama can't seriously be thinking that's cool. This is Obama channeling high fashion style and coolness...

and I'm not referring to the bangle thingy, but to the bag of fruit.

Big fan of Rafa, but as I posted before, couldn't shake his hand at the net til he washed it.

Not that I'll ever have to worry.

Agree with social - FIFAWC has totally dominated my sports-conscience this month

Still distraught over Fed's loss to Berdych - was so hoping for another Nadal-Fed classic

With injuries really start to affect Fed now, I can see the start of the end, just hope Fed can grit his way to a couple more slams and ensure that Nadal doesn't even come close.

Fed at No. 3 just looks ridicolous, who the hell's No. 2 now and how many slams have they won? (assuming Nadal is No.1 now)

Federer has gone down in the estimation of many after his excuse ridden press conference yesterday.

Looking forward to the Ladies Semi-Finals today. I was rather expecting the line up to include Venus Williams and either Clijsters or Henin rather than Serena Williams and a bunch of Commis that no one's heard of, but even so it's a remarkable, possibly once in a life-time opportunity for both Vera Zvonareva and Tsvetana Pironkova.

Zvonareva made the Aust Open semis in 09. Been promising for a while.

Serena is paying $1.09. So ridiculous. As awesome as she is (and she is ****ing awesome), have to lay that and hope for a miracle from Kvitova.

It's still the case that neither of these two are likely to make a Wimbledon Semi-Final again and find such an unfancied player in their path.
I actually met Vera Zvonareva in 2006. (If you can count standing beside a group of autograph hunters who were being ignored by her and her Mixed Doubles partner as a meeting.

Zvonareva in her first Slam final.

Who is the Asian chick that seems to be travelling with Serena. Amazingly hot.
