KP leaving makes no difference at all as far as I am concerned, he was only a Hampshire player for a couple of months.

Kabir being out is far more important.

Glad the Mendis thing is confirmed, can get someone else in now instead of waiting around for ages.

What will, of course, bring about some dummy spitting, will be if KP toddles off to Middlesex and then gets released to play for them in the Championship next April and May
Or if he gets dropped by England. :p I do hope Surrey don't show an interest, no doubt we can afford him but that's hardly the point.

Looks like I might have to start following a new County  KP's decided to leave Hampshire because of Geographical reasons, seeing that he lives in Chelsea. The fact he's not willing to play for a side outside London it limits his options to Surrey and Middlesex for next season.
Depends how much Berkshire can find, doesn't it?

Surrey vs Kent being abandoned for bad light is a curious one. Not just because light is hardly ever an issue in Twenty20s but the ground is of course fitted with permanent lights. I reckon they just wanted to get off and watch the footie - although the early start would have allowed everyone to do that in any case.

Michael Lumb needs to pull his finger out and make some ****ing runs. He's had a pathetic return to Hampshire. Lucky he's not been picked for England TBH, he's in terrible form. Steve Davies better play when we eventually pick our next T20i squad.

Somerset chased down 199 against Gloucestershire, pretty good effort that. 95* from 49 for De Bruyn plus 54 from 25 from Kieron Pollard. He's had a pretty handy start to his County career. 72* off 54 for Trott in a successful chase of 119 for Warwickshire. We've got some very good batsmen going around the circuit this year, very happy with our batting stocks.

Not sure he's Adams' type, but who knows. In terms of being able to afford him, I'd have thought he comes for free as far as wages are concerned because he's guaranteed to be on an England central contract for the foreseeable future.

That's true of course, I wonder what the basis of his contract has been with Hants for the last five years. Paid by the match? Presumably he does train with the county players from time to time, though he could hardly expect to be paid for that.

Gloucestershire bowled out for an embarrasing 68 in their 20/20 match against Hampshire. Wood, Cork and Ervine all in the wickets and it looks like either like Christian or Dawson have injured themselves.

Great win for us today, but Michael Lumb needs to GTFO. Was quite excited to have him coming back after he looked decent in the T20 WC but he's been ****ing dire. If he doesn't step up soon then he'll need to be replaced.

Lumb and Kieswetter both played well in the world cup and both played poorly in the domestic T20. But back in his England kit, Kieswetter is playing well again.

Maybe its a comment on the quality of the bowling in domestic T20?

Well Somerset are officially better without CK, Pollard gets out early then Buttler plays a pollard-like innings.

Hildreth needs to play for England too, btw.

Just a general point that he needs to be playing in all forms, as he's awesome TBH.
