Are there any Middlesex supporters out there? At this rate, they may be even worse than Surrey this year.

We (Sussex) play them next week. Going purely by the form book (0-4 plays 4-0) it doesn't look good for Middlesex

Having a look through their squad, there's supposedly an emphasis on allowing youngsters a chance to step up to a first class side, yet most of their squad is filled with late 20s or older ex-county flops.

Edit: CW throwing a minor wobbler here.

Anyway yes definitely a making-up-the-numbers team. Surrey missing out on a rare opportunity when they can outbowl a side and boost their run-rate.

More runs for Bell, 72 off 58 balls for him. Been in good form this year.

Century from Tom Maynard for Glamorgan too. He's always looked a handy batsman when I've seen him, but never really chipped in with a notable score. Clearly played nicely today though, with him making 103 from 68 balls.

........ and a few runs for Tom Smith at the top of the Lancashire order - I fear there may prove to be life in the failed experiment yet

Hmm, Leicestershire vs Durham on Sky today, be interesting to see James Taylor in action, providing there's no (fire) and rain of course
