Yeah, he came and played at the same club as me in Melbourne. Had a super year, 28 wickets and 500 runs, probably one of the best performances by an English player in the competition since Paul Collingwood.

Cool, would be nice to see him get a chance, not many county cricketers born in France even if he does have a ridiculously English name.

The Minor County following on. I see that Borthwick, who had just scored 20* at number 10, was just told to keep his pads on and go and open the batting in the 2nd innings (Diva seems to be injured). Good stuff, I like that.

Yeah but no idea if or even when Mendis will get here and we can really can't bank on Jones being fit.

He is in the twenty20 squad, no idea if he will make the ODI or test squads later in the summer.

Derbyshire having a good start to the season, need two wickets to beat Northants by an innings. Slightly surprised not to have any BBC commentary on this one.

Anyone know how heavy the rain is at Edgbaston? They've gone off with Warks needing 29.

Well they're back out now. The home side really need to knock these off in three or four overs if they can.


Northants' 9th wicket pair have been holding Derby up for 15 overs - they'll be getting rather agitated now.

Well you lost a lot of personnel over the winter of course - if anything Worcs have done better than I expected this season. Young side, patience needed basically.

Looks like Derby have blown it, there were 36 overs remaining when the 8th wicket fell.

Good win for Warwickshire but Hampshire will be gutted they lost that after being so far on top midway through day 2.

Of course but we do have experienced capable batsman such as Jacques, Solanki and Smith, then add the potential of Moeen and Kervezee. The batting doesn't look weak at all and I understand the conditions are tough but it really is frustrating to see us collapsing so much. Shakib can't come soon enough.

Your man Moeen has made a good start anyway. At Croydon he and Solanki got a draw out of of what looked like a three day win for Surrey at one stage. His bowling seems to be coming on too.
