I know the Dons are stuffing around with it something chronic in the backline, but the problem really is their forward line. No one is presenting, and then applying no pressure as the Pies just waltz out of the backline. Really bad signs.

Its why those that thought Essendon could make finals after losing Lloyd and Lucas in one season was silly.

You can blame the Dons lack of forward structure but it's amazing how badly Essendon are getting smashed in 50/50 contested ball situations. The Pies players are significantly stronger and more desperate.

Imagine if this was Saints vs. Cats. Would be so much better.

****ing greedy ****ers having to always have the limelight.

Oh absolutely. Particularly in the first quarter the Pies were far and away too good. Made Essendon look slow, too.

Not really.
You're a Pies supporter so its pretty much impossible for you to be unbiased about this.

Fact is the Anzac Day game should have teams that did very well the previous year.

Saints vs. Cats this year would have been sweet.

Lol Rudd, you're so bad when you come on sports coverage.

"Advice for the Bombers. First prayer. Second hope."

And then making a parliament committee joke. Wow.

What's the benefit to the AFL though? They get a heap of publicity about a GF replay anyway, combining that with the Anzac Day game doesn't really help their coverage, publicity or ticket sales.

True, but Coll vs. Ess will get huge numbers anyway, whether its Anzac Day or not. Imagine if they played Friday night and Geel vs. Carl (for e.g.) was today? Would be huge crowds for both matches.

We'll see what Carl vs. Geel is tomorrow.

I rate Reid highly. Very impressive
He's taken a long time. A top-10 draftee and until this year I've predicted big things for him each since since we drafted him. He has all the attributes in theory, and while today obviously hasn't been the sternest test, it's great to see him playing a good game. He and Nathan Brown are the future key backs for us, with O'Brien.
