Jeez Renoulf late withdrawal.

I'm happy I've got a sneaky $20 on North today. Reckon they're in with a shot, especially with no ruckman or Mitchell.
I am a key player, no doubt.

Dees for the 8? It's a miracle run that's going to come to a halt with a massive crash at some point, but currently still able to dream.

Your next three weeks could see you at six and two, with some very winnable games.

On other thoughts, not feeling confident at all today.

Carlton is the most unpredictable side in the comp AFAIC, though that's a common trend with teams who don't have a genuine forward line.

Came to uni so I couldn't watch the footy, kinda regretting it now, this is awesome.
I stayed at home because I slept in, should've gone in retrospect. Got this ****ty stream giving me 5 seconds of video at a time and 15 seconds of buffering.

I'm watching a stream too (**** delayed telecasts). Judd vs. Ablett... so ****ing good.

Originally had money on Geelong, then got out at quarter time with the same odds (weird considering how good Carl were in the first quarter). Then decided to chuck $50 on Carlton at $5.2

Just laid them and am greenbooked. So can sit back and watch the awesomeness of Judd and Ablett without a concern in the world.

God I Iove football.

Cats have been woeful in front of goal.

Very impressed with the Blues. You could smell it in the air at quarter time that this was on.

If the Cats win from here it will be amazing.

Damn the AFL...

I used a paid stream yesterday which wasn't too bad, would use again, only available for overseas viewers tho...called omnisport or something, also don't think it has the games that ESPN are showing over here.

FMD there's nothing quite like watching Wojo go for a run.

Could take or leave what happens after he kicks it though.

Had to laugh at Armfield being described as 'quick' by the 'taters today. Sure he might've kept Byrnes quiet, but surely there's something wrong with Byrnes, he definitely didn't look right even when he was kicking in space. Armfield is, for his part, one of the biggest mud-runners in the AFL.

An interesting stat after Round 5: in terms of points against, Geelong have the 7th weakest defence in the league (by 0.2 of a point over Port). I don't believe that's where Geelong actually lie but you can tell something isn't right down back. Their game against Sydney in two weeks time (in Geelong) will tell us a lot about where this team is at right now.

Even so, to quote the cliche, anyone who got 8 this week in the tipping knows nothing about football! :)

We haven't heard anything from MikeW since quarter time yesterday - I'm hoping he hasn't had a Moe Szyslak style "accident"

Sydney lost Craig Bolton. That'll hurt.

Scarlett will be back by that game?

Yeah, unlike the previous year or two though Sydney's defence is more than just Craig Bolton.

Geelong will still go in as decent favourites against Sydney because it's at The Cattery, but if they don't win there they'll have serious problems.

That being said, I wouldn't be that disheartened by today's result if I was a Cats fan - Carlton played about as well as they possibly can.
