Because barely any of them have come about like that. Now sod off. Quite a few were on target.
Hitting shots that are headed wide of the target only for them to take a horrendous deflection and end up in the back of the net. Doesn't sound like "doing much right" just hitting with hope and getting lucky.
Not saying that's how all your own goals have come about. But I don't see how you can try and attribute them to anything that United are doing well that other sides aren't. You're just getting lucky.
Read before replying. Thanx

Oh and out of interest, how many is "barely" and how many is "quite a few"?

All I could say with regards to the injuries debate was "variance exists, therefore you're wrong." Halsey could do a better job of describing why. Our fickle friend var1ance is quite a force. He renders a lot of what you might consider to be evidence almost entirely illegitimate.

Obviously I'm entirely wrong and robbing United of all the credit they deserve, clearly all the hard work in training of aiming for the corner flag and letting the ball bounce off people's shins is really paying off.

Those were two ridiculously good penalties from Lampard today. Guaranteed to forget how to do it at the World Cup though, obvz.

Watched the Arsenal game from a ****ing Spurts pub in Enfield on some dodgy Arabic feed. Half the tellys were showing Spurts v Pompey and the other half us.

Hateful thing is Nasri should've made sure literally thirty seconds before the (offiside) equaliser. If he'd have stuck his laces thru it it'd have been 2-0, game over. Sigh.

Anyway, we're gone now. Might nick 2nd, but title's over for another season.

Reckon Spurs will go.
W, W, D, L, W, D, W

13 points from a possible 21 will be pretty decent.

Nnanden, did you mean 5th or 4th?

Such a ridiculously good ball from Cesc.

How on earth did I type fifth? :(

Their run of games is so difficult that it wouldn't surprise me if they missed out on Europa spots even.

Babel's is being picked more and not looking so much out of place, so it might happen ;)
7 points ahead is a huge gap. Theirs to lose imo, especially with City's form.

Haha, tooooooooooooooold you about Babel! Really excited for the game. Please may Lucas not start...

Works for Lampard, will work for us :)

Nah, as stated, quite a fair few of these og's havent been luck, its been bloody good balls into danger area's where defenders have had to play at them (the one against Villa springs to mind,). Sometimes our player is lurking to knock it in anyway, sometimes not, however its the threat of the ball in and the possibility of the tap in that makes the defender play it.

Others, a la the Carrick shot given elsewhere, its a shot on target that a defender has deflected out of the keepers reach, again, its the defender feeling the need to play it because of the danger on the original ball. Ones like that are fortuitous, but still deserve giving us credit for forcing the error. End of the day you cant force a defender into an error unless your up the pitch attacking (unless the defender is Lee Dixon).

However, have to admit one or two of them have been comical errors, haven't seen yesterdays goals yet.
