May be its the only shirt he's got!I can't believe that he still has Binga written on his shirt. Twenty20 as a novelty is so 2005.
Yea even he can't bog the innings down every time before tamely lobbing a nothing delivery to mid-on.Harsh on Ravi that, did look a bit high live, and Hawkeye confirmed it. Ah well, can't expect him to make a score every match.
He is a slow scorer relatively for someone who bats so long.Harsh on Ravi that, did look a bit high live, and Hawkeye confirmed it. Ah well, can't expect him to make a score every match.
Best catch! He is a slow scorer relatively for someone who bats so long.
Yep avg 32 @ 118 is brilliant indeed. That's the job he's been given by the KXIP team though. He tries to bat through the innings which allows Yuvraj, Sangakkara etc to play their shots. He's done his job, been their best player and one of the better batsmen in the tournament, it's just the rest of the line-up that have failed to step up. 5th leading run scorer in the tournament, with a respectable strike rate of 118 playing for a rubbish team, yet people still slag him off. Nice.
Nobody slagged him. I just said he's a bit slow for it. Jeez.It might not be brilliant, but it still makes him the 5th highest run scorer in the competition. Not sure how he's deserving of being slagged off tbh.
Replace Kohli With Pujara and Rahane and that would be more correct.Manoj Tiwary was great. This bloke has been amazing in all forms of the game.
He's been the most consistent performer alongwith Badrinath and Kohli in first class cricket in India (and yes, much more consistent than Raina or Yuvraj) in recent times (averages 55 in 39 first class matches with 11 centuries).
And he plays real attacking cricket. His playing style has shades of Kevin Peterson (don't get me wrong, there's no comparison there)...playing in front foot and trying to dominate...
I really want him to play some more innings like this, and cement his place in the T20 World Cup team...
