That's the job he's been given by the KXIP team though. He tries to bat through the innings which allows Yuvraj, Sangakkara etc to play their shots. He's done his job, been their best player and one of the better batsmen in the tournament, it's just the rest of the line-up that have failed to step up. 5th leading run scorer in the tournament, with a respectable strike rate of 118 playing for a rubbish team, yet people still slag him off. Nice.

Sorry, being a big fan of his, I tend to get defensive whenever people are discussing him in a negative manner.
Another dire batting performance from KXIP. You can't expect to win many matches batting like this, completely reliant on Bopara batting 20 overs and Yuvraj finding form.

Manoj Tiwary was great. This bloke has been amazing in all forms of the game.
He's been the most consistent performer alongwith Badrinath and Kohli in first class cricket in India (and yes, much more consistent than Raina or Yuvraj) in recent times (averages 55 in 39 first class matches with 11 centuries).
And he plays real attacking cricket. His playing style has shades of Kevin Peterson (don't get me wrong, there's no comparison there)...playing in front foot and trying to dominate...
I really want him to play some more innings like this, and cement his place in the T20 World Cup team...

Replace Kohli With Pujara and Rahane and that would be more correct.
And btw, Tiwary cannot be picked for the T20 world cup as the squad has been already announced.I think both he the Tiwary's ,Sourabh and Manoj have a good case though ,to have been atleast in the probables.

Btw where is Ajinkya Rahane this IPL.?He was one of the better Mumbai players last time.
He i think should have left the mumbai Indians this season and transferred to another team where he would have gotten more chances to play.
Mumbai have got a good bench strength of Indian Players with the likes of Nayar,Rahane and TP singh not still gettign a game.Not to forget the likes of Kulkarni as well.
I think not playing in the IPl this season has cost Nayar a place in the T20 world cup squad.I think there should be truth about rumours about his Injury,otherwise Mumbai have been stupid to play Satish ahead of him.
