Cricketer Of The Year
I don't know what to think about our season so far. I'm not happy with how we've faded out after half time every week, but we've shown enough for me to believe we'll make the finals if we stay healthy. We're getting killed with offloads though, particularly against the Cowboys. I don't know how much of that should be put down to the conditions in Townsville, as we looked sluggish all game. We really need Waterhouse back, and we need him healthy for the majority of the year. We're already developing a healthy injury list too which is a worry, but so far we're able to cover over the cracks.
One thing's for sure though, we have a team with enough depth, starch and talent to make the finals which I don't feel we've had in previous years. If we underperform this year I can't see anyone/anything that should take the blame but Elliott.
One player I'm really worried about is Gordon. One of our safest players in recent years, but he's been very poor so far. His game against the Cowboys was cringeworthy, and the worst I've ever seen him play. His head is nowhere near the game at the moment.
Still some good signs. Grant and McKendry are starting to look like NRL props. Coote has been awesome, and Kingston could be one of the buys of the season.

Penrith could be a real darkhorse this season, as you mentioned they have been nowhere near their best yet comfortably beat the Raiders and almost won in NQ with is tough to do, will be a real test against Melbourne this week. I like Michael Gordon as a player but as you mentioned he's been particular poor, I think he may have suffered from Jennings change of position and may need time to adjust.

Might be part of it, but I suspect there might be more to it. Some of his errors have looked like a player who's head is simply not in the game at all. He got sold a dummy by Scott Bolton of all people. He had moved 3 steps from the mark before Bolton even started moving his hands.

Was leaning Penruff's way this week tbh, til I heard the record of Matt Elliott cached teams vs Bellamy coached teams. It aint pretty. Still give them a reasonable shot though.
Agree with you mate, I like Penrith's side.
Brumbers, Burgess' hands have let him down a bit since his arrival, but he's looked pretty consistently dangerous - reckon he could well make a massive impact this year.

It was an okay first up effort. Webcke probably needs to not mention QLDer whenever their is mention of someone from QLD.
Also some of the segments are pretty boring like the quiz gameshow thingy. I liked the Mason interview though.
