with umpires like these, England won't have to think about "survival" really hard.As long as England don't survive too long tomorrow, this should all be very interesting after those 3 late wickets. Bang won't hang around on Day 4, so Day 5 will either be a runchase or hanging on for dear life yet again. What's the odds at the moment?
Actually...England to win before lunch on Wednesday. Don't see Bangladesh setting them more than 200 - everyone knows they never bat well twice in the same match.
But perhaps their batsman will be given some of the same largesse as England's have enjoyed.
Could've had England under 300 but for some umpiring incompetence.OK, but they haven't made 300 in each innings, and they'll certainly need at least that many in the next day or so. Not much sign of the wicket breaking up yet.
Reckon 350 is as likely as 150 for Bangers these days.OK, but they haven't made 300 in each innings, and they'll certainly need at least that many in the next day or so. Not much sign of the wicket breaking up yet.
They made 400+ in this test "the hard way"Reckon 350 is as likely as 150 for Bangers these days.
I think it's a case of England would just pull out of a run chase if it got too risky, and unless Bangladesh are already at the tail, then they'll never bowl England out if they don't want to attack.Surprised Bangladesh are as a long as 23 on the odds. Apart from Bangladesh being crap it's an even situation, team batting last with a very small lead. Given Bangladesh need a win I hope they'll be aggressive.
England's batsmen are boneheads, look at the three soft dismissals at the end of today's play which turned a very strong position into an average one.I think it's a case of England would just pull out of a run chase if it got too risky, and unless Bangladesh are already at the tail, then they'll never bowl England out if they don't want to attack.
Yep and of course we had no complaints in South Africa did we.Bad umpiring happens, I have absolutely no sympathy for Bangladesh
I don't think so.Given the way the duff decisions have been highlighted I wouldn't be surprised if Bangladesh got some in their favour. And lets face it England would have struggled to break 300 without the luck they've had already.
Nah can't see Bangladesh winning. In these conditions it's far too easy for a batting side to just shut down and close the game out for a draw. Which England have gotten fairly good at lately, you may have noticed .Surprised Bangladesh are as a long as 23 on the odds. Apart from Bangladesh being crap it's an even situation, team batting last with a very small lead. Given Bangladesh need a win I hope they'll be aggressive.
Truly dire decision as well. Knocking leg out of the ground. Lot of time for the boy. He's really done the hard yards in this test. His figures are practically libellous.Ouch - would have been interesting if Rubel Hussain had got that lbw against Matt Prior - 186 for 5 would really have tested the new Ian Bell
South Africa? Don't know what you are talking aboutYep and of course we had no complaints in South Africa did we.
Must be so frustrating for Bangladesh, having to get more than 10 wickets to get a side out on a pitch like this is just not fair.
