You mean the kind of spell that my beloved WI had against Australia in the recent tests where we bowled them out for less than 160? i certainly wouldn't bet on it!! .
Struggling to understand the point of this post tbh. Is this the same series where the Windies went winless?

Clarke to get out before close of play? Would almost be worth it just for Gelman's response.

Is anyone enjoying seeing North do well?

Sounds like most of you Aussies want him dropped, and we certainly aren't loving watching him score all these runs. Would have been for the best for all of us if he'd been out ages ago.

On 46 now, hoping he gets out before his 50. Reckon that even if he makes nothing in the next innings, a 50 here will get him at least the next Test. Ridiculous. Seriously, how did someone like Hodge not get more games?

Nah, good luck to the bloke. If he's playing for us I want to see him do well, although I think there are others who could do a better medium to long term job.

Jeez, they've poured it on the past hour or so. Never looked like getting 300 in the day after two sessions.

This is such a piss poor bowling line-up it isn't funny. Chris Martin's finished, Tim Southee hasn't improved in two years of international cricket and if anything he has gone backwards. Darryl Tuffey's been mid 120's all day, nuff said, and Brent Arnel has been steady but doesn't really look all that promising,

You really have problems when you play four seamers and the quickest one of the lot is 135K.

You say this and yet at the same time you advocate the introduction of another 19 year old into the side under the "if he's good enough, he's old enough" clause.

Martin and Arnel both bowled well today. Tuffey is toothless, and I couldn't believe Vettori gave him the second new ball, but it's not like anyone else is banging down the door. And Southee still probably shouldn't have played any international cricket yet, given that he's 21. He's not ready, but he's the only bowler available who can appreciably swing it, which offers a crucial point of difference in this otherwise virtually identical bowling attack.

To be honest, I was quietly pleased until it all turned to **** in the last hour and a half.
