Mixed feelings, tbh. Leaves yer Chavs to concrete on the Prem.
Dunno- as I said when Arsenal were knocked out, I don't remember it ever working like that. When has a team floundered in a title challenge towards the end of the season because of a cup run?

Just saw the closeup of the Drogba stamp and take back what I said about Motta. Ridiculously nasty by Drogba. All the worst you horrible pos.

Not so much that one, but the year we went down we got to the FA Cup quarters, including a win at Goodison and the 4-3 over Southampton

Just looked at the fixture list and our home game with Chelsea is ridculously at lunctime on Saturday 3 April - three days after the CL quarter-final first leg. Interesting to see if Chelsea's week off there proves significant, particularly with the early kick-off. I reckon United need to up their bribes to the fixture list compilers and/or Sky - this will be the second time in a matter of weeks that we've had a Saturday lunchtime game directly after a Champions League fixture.

Had to check if The Sean had turned into Rafa Benitez for a second then

Accepting it wasn't a good day at the office for Szczesny last time out, but that was poor protection from his defenders.

For the first one three of them stood about watching the MK Dons striker lean into his back and nudge him forward, and for the third goal two of them parted like the Red Sea to let the attacker get under Szczesny to put him off.

All in all, excellent practice for the boy for when he returns to Arsenal
A lot of it is down to the fact that for the last 3-4 months we have had a number of different center backs on loan all who did an excellent job. the latest Smith got recalled by Ipswich so things looking a bit dodgy back there now.

Szczesny is still amazing though, love having him here and I am very confident that he will make it Arsenal.

Haha former Arsenal youth player James Dunne? Didn't know he landed at Exeter.
It is him indeed, he scored a screamer earlier in the year, but it's taking him a fair time to settle in the lower leagues, but he's coming into his own now.

Yeah that elbow is really shocking the more you look at it. Didn't think there was much in it in real time, but he pretty clearly squares the guy up on the replays. It's not shown on the video, but there's a shot of him smirking decidedly like a cat who had gotten away with the cream later on in the cast. Dire.

Yeah, watched him in the reserves when arse.com were still streaming them. Was never goign to be good enough for us but always looked an honest trier who had a great attitude. Happy he's making a career for himself with you guys. One thing Arsenal does well even if most of their lads can't crack the first team is make sure they all find places to land and have a career in football.

Oh and anyone else see Messi's pass to Toure for Barca's second? Mind blowing, just so so classy. Really love watching the little guy play.

Another victory for the wonderful FA. Though it was more of a UEFA issue, it ****s me no end that such a massive deal is made about things such as the Eduardo "dive" since that sort of thing is so outrageous, but when an England player lamps someone round the head it's totally overlooked.
The FA's hands are tied - the referee saw the incident and decided the punishment of a free kick was enough (and to be honest, looking at his view then I can see how he would've thought that - it's other angles that make it look worse)
