Yeah, Raw was good without being spectacular but the last segment was quality. Vince screwed Vince. Can't wait until Bret gets him in the sharpshooter.

Both title matches are well set but Taker-HBK continues to get the most hype. I can't find the video they are using on youtube, it has the Johnny Cash bit but also with the top stars talking about the match. It should definitely go on last for me. Oh, and in case you were in any doubt, Shawn should go over...seventeen and one :D

Just watched Impact. Well, kinda. It was on. It sucked. Except for the start and the end. I'm a mark for Jeff, what can I say. But you just had him go over your champion cleanly in his first match for seven months. As one of my other favourites would say. Really? REALLY? Good match though.

The key point though is that as much as I liked those two segments - what were they up against? The opening stint on Impact was good, it had Flair and Styles facing off with Jeff, the crowd were into it and so was I. But you know what was on the other channel? Oh that's right, Stone ****ing Cold was cutting a promo. And then Cena came out for a match. Yeah, goodnight.

And then the Styles-Hardy match. Good match, for sure. But at the same time, Vince, Bret and Austin were all in the ring together. Good ****ing night.

Oh and by the way. Styles and Hardy would make a great PPV main event don't you think? I'd pay to see it. Well, I would have done, I certainly won't now because you just gave it away for free you retards.

The middle bits of Raw weren't spectacular but compared to what they were up against...Raw followed up the Austin promo with Cena V Show...Impact followed the Hardy-Styles promo with the Nasty Boys. Yeah. I ain't making this **** up.

You call this a war? Really? REALLY?

Reminds me of that time WCW put Hogan vs Goldberg on Nitro, really smart long term booking that one. Bischoff strikes again.

Haven't watched wrestling in 6 months? What's happened?

I watched Raw and it was good. Best time I have tuned in too, two weeks before Wrestlemania by co-incidence. Loved Orton v Triple H. Orton rocks.

Taker v Michaels is gonna be good.

Sounds like you are already up to date with most of the major developments of the last 6 months tbh. Edge winning the Royal Rumble and Sheamus having a run with the WWE title are about the only really significant things I can think of.

Edit: And Bret Hart obv.

Cheers mate. I have wondered this - I have a lot of movies to watch every week, so have very little time for WWE. I am also reading books now. I guess I will tune in to WWE every year during Wrestle Mania like I do for Golf for Augusta Masters and Tennis for French Open and Wimbledon.

-Austin = awesome. So good the see SCSA back. It just feels so right.

-HBK-Jericho was way too short. Went about 6 minutes but they were a glorious six minutes. It was building like their XIX match but then all of a sudden a countout loss? Faaaaaarrrrkkkkkkk offff. As for Jericho-Edge, it has potential to be an incredible feud but it feels so more shallow than the Y2J/Mysterio and then the Y2J/HBK feuds that have gone past. Think they could be doing so much mroe with it

-Trips-Orton. **** me, these guys must've wrestled each other a million times yet they still have zero in ring chemistry. Personally find it brutal watching these two do anything involving each other. Considered changing the channel during this, couldn't handle it at all. Enough is ****ing enough.

-Arrrgh, the contract signing was awesome. Austin carried it hard and put the feud over big time. Vince going back to being the scared little **** he always was around AUstin was nostalgically brilliant. Bret so hasn't changed a bit though. He still looked like he belonged in the 90's with his mic work. Was just such a surreally sensational promo by those three.

A gimmick match where essentially you don't even have to wrestle to stay true is perfect for those two. Bret will never be anywhere near what he was and would have insane ring rust stepping into a conventional match. Vince, heh.

Raw was quite good overall I thought though.

Also, the Austin cut at the beginning was quite brilliant. He can be very eloquent when he wants to and him putting the contract signing was really really good.

I thought the countout kinda made sense - certainly didn't want either of them to be going over this close to Mania. The Austin stuff was great, "when I say I want a beer, you give me a beer."

It was also a notably anti-PG Raw with Austin making ass every third word, also it looked like Batista might have bladed, not sure

Yeah I could see why they did it and I don't necessarily disagree with that. Just felt like as big a pro-wrestling ****tease as you can find. Could watch that 6-7 minutes many times over. It's how you start a ME at a PPV.

EDIT: Coupla other things. Is the launching board Sheamus' finisher? Looked sick on a cruiser but can he do that to other top contenders? Really like him on the mic too, witty Irish ranga. Really like him.

Heel Batista = . Just wins.

Oh aye, it was indeed. God, those two have had some great matches. Might go buy all the PPVs from 08 were they fought, also WM19 is gonna be a purchase I'll be making shortly

I own XIX. Watched that and it really is an incredible card. Stacked all the way through.

Two of my most angry smark moments come during that show though. The Jericho and Bookah losses were infuriating, these guys who claim they'll do anything to draw money refusing to put other guys over when they were red hot? I'll stop though, think we've seen this a few times already.

Wrestlemania 19 was the angriest I've ever been seeing a WWE event.

Saw that one in the cinemas. Was so sure Booker would win, as the booking just made sense for him too. Was ****ing swearing my ass off.

Yeah but it was a great great card nonetheless. Lesnar-Angle, Rock-Austin, the triple threat Tag titles match were all awesome. Hogan-Vince was insane though. Hogan coming out to Hendrix is always cool (even though Jimmi is about a million times greater than Hogan ever was). Might give it a spin soon.
