Some cheap wickets brings Shakib's bowling average back down a bit. Some better bowling and some wickets he actually earned in the first innings of the next test would be nice thanks.

We put 400 past Sri Lanka in the fourth innings a year and a half ago. I'd like to see us get up around that mark here, although the ball's been keeping low and there's a little bit of spin finally so 250 might be a bit more realistic.

I might be one of the few one's who don't rate Tamim very highly (mid 30's at best) the guy to watch out from BD is Mahudullah can see him avg mid 40's consistently.

Well he's already averaging mid 30s, at the age of twenty, and that's after having averaged around 25 just 12 months ago so clearly he's already had a decent phase of cricket in which he's averaged well above mid 30s.

So I'll make a bet with you mate.

If mid 30s is the 'best' he can manage, by, say, the end of 2011, then 'Xuhaib' tattooed on my arse and post a pic on Cricket Web.

Well I would say Rahim would average better than Tamim in 5 years time. This bloke should play at #4. He's technically the best batsmen BD have. He should give up the keeping and concentrate on batting.

All of the above is true, and are things I've said before, but I think for Xuhaib to assume that a mid 30s average is the best that Tamim can expect to average despite his already having achieved that average roughly 10 years before his peak is arguable to say the least. ;-)

Dhiman Ghosh should really be keeping. His batting may be poor, but I think he's got enough in his locker to come in at number 8 or 9 and average 15 or so in tests. He'd only be replacing a batsman who averages slightly more at 25 or so, and if you take catches, stumpings and difficult sweeping work into account, he'd genuinely save us anywhere between 15-100 runs with his keeping.

Maybe not. Good resistance from Siddique and Rahim. Agree with what has been said about Rahim. Unlike Siddique who looks perpetually poor, Rahim has a touch of class about him and a backbone.
