2nd or 3rd tier but at least they have a good composition. Its weakened but at least they have not gone in with Prior at 5 or anything stupid. The bowling is weak but they are sticking with their plan, just with different and less talented players.Hope England get trounced for playing such a weakened team.
He's looking very setlled at the crease, calm and assured in his footwork and shot selection. Used the sweep to good effect, generally favouring the deft paddle sweep. He is hopefully out of the habit of getting to fifty and getting out, something he was doing too regularly during 2008, when he passed 50 eight times without getting a hundred. Here's hoping for a big one.Just get a feeling that Cook will eye for a big score; he is playing well...would like to him to score double ton

It may be weakened, especially in the bowling department, but expect us to still have enough. A bonus being put in and building ourselves a platform in the first session to go on and get a big 450+ score with the right discipline and intent.2nd or 3rd tier but at least they have a good composition. Oh I agree. The players are a little downgrade but the structure is still strong and the group should win. I think he's improved his game in this area. Was always reasonable, he made his debut in Nagpur and scored 60 and 104*, but has added more scoring strokes to his game against spin bowling, the sweep especially, deft or slog sweep. In the past he has at times just dead batted the spinners, but is more positive now, works the gaps, and plays everything from the crease, will vary rarely use his feet to come dwon to the spinner. How good Cook is against Spin?
If ever there was an opportunity to alter the make-up of the side, ie go with two spinners and five specialist batsmen, it was probably here. However, they must be keen to maintain the same structure of the side, be consistent in opting for three seamers/swingers, and Swann as the sole spinner.Oh I agree. yeah. with the kind of lineup chosen for this match, England may struggle to get Bangladesh wickets easier unless Broad or Swann bowls beautifully. Will be watching Bresnan on how he bowls on asian wicketsIf ever there was an opportunity to alter the make-up of the side, ie go with two spinners and five specialist batsmen, it was probably here. We have plenty of batting, on paper, and I agree that the area we may struggle more is taking the 20 wickets. Swanny key again.
Looks next to nothing in it for the Bangladeshi quicker bowlers, although there was some variable bounce that would interest 6'7" Steven Finn and 6'5" Stuart Broad.yeah. with the kind of lineup chosen for this match, England may struggle to get Bangladesh wickets easier unless Broad or Swann bowls beautifully.
