Australia should breed a young star-in-the-making batsman at no.6.

Just like they did with Ponting in the mid-90s, and Clarke in the mid-2000s.
Yeah this would have been good as well. Except the selectors are too stubborn to 'bat people out of their natural positions'.

Pretty weird thing to say considering neither of the Aussie openers started there nor do they open for their state, Marc North was an opener for WA and Hussey first played Test cricket not too long ago as an opener.

Am considering not going to the game today for the good of the team.

My Eden Park jinx is the stuff of legend, after all.

Stewart in for Ingram, Franklin in for Broom.

Yay! The balance of this team looks a lot better than the last two matches.

Yay! indeed :) this is awesome.

Feel sorry for Ingram but he just didn't seem up to it.
Also Franklin #5 experiment didn't work.
Do not feel sorry for Broom obviously, way too many chances.
Happy for Stewart who gets a go.

Sanity prevails at last & Broom's finally swept under the carpet. He needs to go away & work on his back-lift IMHO

yea do feel sorry for him but... 3 failures as opposed to Brooms 20odd hardly seems fair?!?!

25 runs from the last two overs. Fingers crossed. :)

I think McCullum is getting ready for the IPL. Bollinger 3 overs for 30 runs
