My God the grounds in New Zealand are a joke. It's good for ODI and T20 cricket I guess but it almost makes a mockery of cricket, I play on a bigger ground than these and I play park cricket ffs.

McCullum is such a beast. Looks so ugly when he bats but hits them miles, jealousssss.

Is Watto the best partnership breaker in world cricket at the moment? Manages to get set batsmen who are cruising out every game at crucial stages, it's amazing considering how generally innocuous he seems. Must be an odd bowler to face.

Plus musclessssss

I reckon the batsmen are strangely attracted to him and whilst they're working out their confusing feelings they lose concentration and inevitably their wicket.

Guptill must be pissed with himself - and so he should be. Stunning pitch to bat on and his home ground. When he drives the ball along the ground it's a thing of beauty.

McCullum needs to really go on here - one for this game, but two for his career - he needs a big one against the big boys.

Quicker than he looks, tbh. Pretty much jogs in and has a fairly lazy looking action so it must be a surprise when the ball leaves the hand at 135Km/h+. Greg Blewett-esque these days.

Is the series broadcast on radio at all in New Zealand, and on what station for any Kiwis listening?

Oh wow. Oh dear. Wow dear.

Franklin manages to get himself bowled off a was-gonna-be-wide.

Seriously, when I heard it hit the stumps my first reaction was "um... what the ****? i thought that was a wide... and he's bowled?!"
