Haha, yeah, thought about using the tags, but then didn't for that very reason. Sting and RVD also confirmed to show up apparently.I would shout at you for spoilers, but it's TNA so I don't care. Jeff, yuck, makes me feel like I want to watch

Rob Van Dam v. Sting
RVD comes off the rop with a kick. ROLLING THUNDER. Cover and that's all.
WINNER: Rob Van Dam
a) what does that mean?I really somehow hope Shawn wins. The streak is overrated
Nothing earth moving there really...will be interesting to see how much of a hit TNA takes next week.Last night's edition of WWE Monday Night RAW scored a 3.4 cable rating.
Last night's edition of TNA iMPACT! scored a 1.0 cable rating.
Both shows were way down this week. More shortly.
It's obviously going to be tough for TNA iMPACT! next week as they're running a taped show head-to-head with the return of Steve Austin and three WrestleMania rematches. They also face a Bret Hart-Vince McMahon contract signing.
Last week was a poor show, but this week wasn't too bad.Managed to catch abit of NXT the other night. Danielson's promo before his match was pretty decent, but from there onwards it was pretty poor. I hate Wade Barrett's character. The "British bare-knuckle fighting champion" part was laughable. The match was pretty disappointing too, just saw Danielson getting squashed again. Wasn't sure whether the botch was intentional either, but it was a pretty strange way to end a match. The match before that was worse though, with Punk's Pro Darren Young against David Otunga IIRC, both looked pretty uncomfortable in there, and Young's finisher looked pretty poorly performed. I hope I just saw a particularly poor section of the show, because if it doesn't get any better than that, then it's barely watchable.

You guys are crazy, last week's was great. Every week it has been great.Last week was a poor show, but this week wasn't too bad.
Completely agree! Daniel Bryan has been the star of the show. Even this week the team of The Miz and Daniel Bryan lost, but it was clearly The Miz's fault as to why they did. The main thing is there is a reason why he has been losing, this is to build up the tension between The Miz and Daniel Bryan. The tension between them was off the charts this week and the dynamic between them adds so much to the show. You guys are crazy, last week's was great. Every week it has been great.
Wade Barrett's character fits perfectly for someone being mentored by Jericho. Don't really have a problem with the bare knuckle thing, it's not like it can be disproven because obviously you don't actually have an official champion in that, but he is undisputably a hard bastard so that sort of gimmick makes sense. Hard as nails but Jerichoesque in character - it's different from what we normally get fed for guys of his size, and he can go in the ring as well.
I don't know what you're on with the 'Danielson getting squashed again' comment either.
1 - He didn't get squashed by Jericho, he went seven minutes with the world champion in his WWE debut and got in plenty of offence. That's not a squash.
2 - To call his defeat to Barrett a squash is just to take it completely out of context as well. He took a bump from hell against Jericho, his ribs were visibly still legit hurt and he was selling them. Miz attacked them before the match. For him to win that match would have been a complete burial for whoever his opponent was (and I do not use that term lightly). The whole thing made complete sense from a storytelling POV.
I didn't think Young and Otunga was too bad, agree the finisher was delivered poorly, thought it was a decent match with interesting dynamics between both sets of pros and rookies.
All in all the concept is great, all three shows have been great and I'd say a fair few of the rookies are already over. Danielson is getting face pops, Barrett is getting heat, Gabriel seems to be getting cheered a does Slater. Otunga is getting a bit of heat as well.
It's going well. Each to their own, obviously, but I just take exception to the 'Danielson getting squashed again' comment because nothing could be further from the truth.
