Cricketer Of The Year
I want two spinners, so am going:

Bell
Cook
Trott
KP
Collingwood
Prior
Bresnan
Swann
Broad
Tredwell
Onions

With Plunkett to cover Broad and Finn to cover Onions.

You couldnt seriously contemplate Bell at 3??????

If he has to play, put him at 5 or 6

Trott must be 3 and there's no other opener so Carberry will be gifted the only 2 tests of his career
Bell achieved some sucess at 6 in South Africa, def don't like the idea of him going back to 3.

I would like to play 2 spinners which means 5 bowlers and no room for Bell. I suspect the selectors will stick with the same 6 batsman aproach they used in Saffer land, so no room for Tredwell.

King Pietersen

International Captain
Alastair Cook
Jonathan Trott
Kevin Pietersen
Paul Collingwood
Ian Bell
Matt Prior +
Luke Wright
Graeme Swann
Stuart Broad (Bresnan)
James Tredwell
Graham Onions (Finn)

I'd be happy to see that side turn out. No huge positional changes, just everyone moves up 1 and Wright slots in at 7. Bresnan slightly unlucky to miss out, but I still don't rate him as a Test bowler unless the ball hoops round corners, which it's unlikely to, so he doesn't play. Luke Wright had a fantastic FC season, impressed the coaches down at Sussex with his improvement, is clearly liked by the England side so give the lad a go. He might not be a world beater yet, but he has a good work ethic, is always improving his game and is a handy all-rounder. I'd rather see a young talent like Wright given a go in place of someone like Carberry.

Swann and Broad consulting with their lawyers at such a vicious defamation of their batting.

Seriously tho, agree we'll play two spinners. Be madness not to.

Can't open with Bell, surely? Didn't Tredwell hit a ton opening last season? Not that I'd like to see that happen...

Some would say it's madness to pick a 28-year-old with a bowling average north of 35, too.
True, but he's done about all he could have to further his case on tour. I'd really prefer someone who turned it the other way to Swanneh, but from the little I've seen Tredwell looks a different type of offie; loopier and gives it more flight. Imagine he'll be even slower through the air in FC cricket too.

I know it's only Bangladesh but that's a bit complacent
 Pressed the wrong button before I'd completed it. Not a bad start though ?
Only found out when I was selecting my side, I don't really know what side I'd like. Am always a fan of batting depth, but this may be a decent opportunity to go in with only 5 specialist batsmen this series, allowing us an extra bowler. Perhaps a chance for Luke Wright, not that I'm a big fan.

He'd have been in my squad, iffy FC record or not. Will score more international runs than Carberry.
He really did have a poor season for Middelsex last year, I haven no doubt he can score runs in the longer form of the game but he needs to demostrate it for at least a season before he makes the step up for tests.

Plus of course with Strauss being the one rested a replacement openner was required, Carberry the obvious choice given his fantastic season last year, deserves a chance.

AFter England Dismissed Ashraful for 30 and Rockibul for 51

This is what happened

It's all gone a bit silly now. Cook and Carberry are serving up declaration pies. Cook's first over was smacked for 24!
Shuvo and Sagir are slogging with impunity. Filthy looping long-hops from both ends. Just as well this isn't first-class anymore. Lead - 167
That's lunch, but the batsmen will surely be full already. That was a mockery. Figures to follow eventually, when we've counted up the runs
181 runs in nine overs of filth! I hope Bangladesh bat on, that'll serve England right ...

Seems rather pointless, would have thought that taking another look at the bowlers would be more important than trying to engineer a chase, suppose they want to give Carberry and Pietersen a chance to make some runs.
