Yes perhaps my previous post was a little patronising, didn't mean for it to come across like "who'd have thought Bangladesh would give us, England, a competitive match!".
I know England must be seen as quite beatable in parts such as Bangladesh, especially at home. But while Bangladesh have improved without question in ODI's, England too have stepped their game up a notch too. My expectation for this series was for England to win, but to come across the kind of competitiveness we have encountered today.
Yes the Bangladeshi spinners were always going to cause this England side one or two problems on these tracks, but I thought our bowlers would restrict you to lesser totals than the one you managed today, which despite being a competitive total, always felt it was a few runs short.
Too much criticism shouldn't be heaped on Shakib's shoulders, he's a young man doing his best and learning all the time, with a very inexperienced side around him.
I think Bangladesh have a good opportunity to grab a win in the last game, think England may tinker with the side, bringing in the likes of Plunkett, but would still have us down as favourites.
For every out and out result, there will be things the losing side could have done better, but today they were beaten by an outstanding innings. Credit here is due in no small part to Eoin Morgan.
