Yes you're right about Imrul, better rotation of the strike was needed, his strike rate of 55 was not good enough really.260 is not the worst return in the world, but it really could have been 280 with some slightly better batting from Imrul. 63 off 113 is not my idea of playing the anchor role, it's just pretty poor batting and suggestive of an inability to find the gaps and use his wrists to move the ball around.
We have some genuine quality with the bat in Mushfiq, Shakib, Mahmudullah and Naeem and IMO all could have been relied on to steer us through to a good position at the 40th over if Imrul had gone out earlier.
Still, delighted with Shuvo's debut with the bat and I hope it puts him and ease and allows him to do himself justice with the ball.
The demise of Razzak, Rasel and Mortaza as decent international bowlers are more than we can absorb. We can wonder all we want about why our improved performances with the bat haven't translated into the odd ODI win, but the simple fact is that we used to have three international class bowlers out of whom one is now permanently injured and two have deteriorated into club standard bowlers.Honestly, England will win by 7 Wickets
Rubel is not a Limited Overs Bowler, Razzak is Useless, In the end of the Day Naeem is Still a Part Timer.
Shakib is the only one I can Trust
Shafiul and Shuvo hae to wait and see
How so?Rubel reminds me of Mills.
In what way???Rubel reminds me of Mills.
Just has a very similar albiet inferior arsenal. Trundles in, can move the ball around, decent slower ball. Millsesque to me.How so?
