*Official* England in Bangladesh

Just has a very similar albiet inferior arsenal. Trundles in, can move the ball around, decent slower ball. Millsesque to me.
Rubel more of a slingy style bowler, who will look for his pace to be the most important weapon, and skidding onto the batsman, doesn't get great seam movement. Also, does not have anywhere near the kind of accuracy that makes Mills such a handful, imo.

Half the time I'd say Mills doesn't have the type of accuracy that makes Mills such a handful tbh.

So nothing like Mills then :p

Yeah, too deep. I wish they would play some bowlers.
Same thing with England, as to do we have any/enough wicket-taking bowlers ? We don't in my opinion, while I understand the importance of containing the opposition, it is vital to pick the wickets up too, and I don't think we have enough options in this department.

Fairly toothless stuff from Rubel here. He's not getting any swing, which nullifies pretty much all his threat. And as Simon Doull pointed out in a pretty handy bit of analysis during the Kiwi series, the angular way he holds his wrist at the point of delivery means that he invariably ends up ensuring that all his deliveries land on the side of the ball rather than on the seam. This makes it more or less impossible for him to get any seam movement.

As Doull also pointed out, all it takes to rectify this is to turn the ball slightly to the left so that the seam remains upright, even if his hand doesn't. I find it pretty astonishing that something so basic, and yet so important hasn't been picked up by our coaching staff.

 Do we actually have any?

Pietersen is not nice to watch when he's out of form. I was hoping he'd turned a corner after that innings in the T20 against Pakistan, but obviously not. Continues to look in terrible knick, with his bat coming down from all sorts of different angles, especially against the full delivery. Just hope he finds a few runs today and starts to get himself into some form. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

That'll do from Rubel I reckon. We should give Shafiul nine overs or so and make up the rest in spin.

More quality fielding from the Bangladeshi's. Why was he so far off the boundary? Timed the jump terribly too. Let off for Cook, he's really going at the ball though, I like it.

By no means implied action, was more or less commentating on his role to the team. Gets some swing does Rubel.
Eventually see Rubel as a strike bowler, that may prove expensive but may also pick up a wicket. At this stage, probably more likely to go for a few runs. He seems to have sacrificed a bit of pace today to try and get his accuracy right, yet this nullifies his main threat to a degree.

Not sure ODI cricket is right for Rubel at this stage of his career. Would want him running in hard, trying to bowl quick, and as I say, his inaccuracy may cost him at the moment.

Cook seeing it nicely, and carrying on from where he left off on Sunday. Encouraging signs from the skipper.

Fairly straight forward catch in the deep that. Dire stuff.

If the dew plays a part, England will win this in a canter.

I enjoyed his variations in NZ when he slowed his pace down when conditions suited a bit of swing. Though I agree with you that he'd be more useful as a strike bowler, Rasel with new confidence can bother with the support bowling.
