*Official* Zimbabwe in West Indies

Yeah the Zimbabweans were poor but I don't see what the West Indies did wrong apart from one awful over from Rampaul.

Overly negative tripe from Stewart IMHO.

Yes don't think too much of the blame can lie at WI door. They performed adequately enough in comparison to their opposition. I think that kind of bowling performance may have gone round the park, certainly more than today, against a half-decent side.

Although 4 wides and 4 no-balls will not please Ottis Gibson.

If WI finish this game conclusively and professionally, like they should, then fair play.

Ha ha, good old Ray Price as pumped up as ever. He's not going to give WI an easy time out there.

I hate pitches like this. It encourages bad cricket like ordinary finger spin and medium paced dobbers.

We have far too many of them in the Caribbean.

Fletcher out for a duck....

Some posters would have us believe that players like him deserve a place in the WI side over players like Gayle and Shiv.

It's not conducive to T20 cricket, where boundaries and cartwheeling stumps are the order of the day. Zimbabwe fielding has been comical at times, if these guys make up the majority of a would-be Test side, then it'll be a good few years in waiting. I am just judging off this one game, so perhaps a tad unfair.

WI should not make a game of this, if Pollard gets going it could be over in the blink of an eye.

20/20 World Cup is going to be awful. Might see 16+ overs of spin from the likes of Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Windies should get home now. The dangermen have finished.

Well Pollard out now.

Not to be Pollard's day, poor stroke trying to go down the ground, leg-spinner Cremer got no turn and straight through the gap. Poor approach here from WI, digging a bit of a hole for themselves.

This is horrible.Like the Bangladesh series all over again. The only conditions I can see Zimbabwe competing in are exactly like this.

It's not a great pitch for this format, but the batsmen are doing themselves no favours at all, on either side. WI need someone to step up, and it seems it'll have to be Shiv, he may be the only one to apply himself in a proper way here.

Poor Gibbo. He must be tearing his hair out looking at this. Something has to be done about the pitches in the Caribbean that allows awful teams like Bangladesh and Zimbabwe to bowl spinners for 90% of the innings and get away with it.

Non-test players also need a spin clinic pronto. An A team tour of the sub-continent would be a must IMHO.

Don't these Trinidadian batsmen know how to bat on Trini pitches?

The young brigade of Barath, Fletcher, Pollard and Darren Bravo still have a lot to learn....

I wouldn't disagree with that but this pitch is turning a huge amount and young Bravo got a half tracker that kept incredibly low.

No excuses for Pollard or Fletcher though. Terrible stuff.

I find it amusing that we only picked one spinner for this match .

Looking at the conditions, we would probably have already won if Miller was playing as well.
